Tankathon - 2021 Edition

Question.....

It's simply not realistic to think the Jets will have the 4th and 5th overall picks in the draft. Objectively speaking, where do you think the Seahawks pick will be? I believe they'll win tomorrow and next weekend. They'll finish with a 7-10 record. That pick will likely the somewhere between 10 and 15. I still think Jets will be top 5....

 

That's a depressing thought. Maybe we'll get lucky and the Lions fall in love with Pickett.

 

I was just studying the tankathon info & looking at the schedule. The Jets are very likely locked in to no worse than 4, even if they win against Jax. If they lose Sunday, top 3 is very likely, & 1 or 2 is realistic, if not likely. Hard to say about Seattle. Looks to me like they've packed it in. I still see a top 10 pick there. Also Carolina sucks & that extra 2d is juicy.

 

Honestly, as much as I love the number of top picks they have, it still isn't enough to get this team to start to win. I think it's imperative they trade down out of one of those 1st rounders. Gain a later 1st rounder and say a 2nd or 3rd this year? I'd be all about it. The team is just so severely lacking in talent.

I don't know the formula, but they have Jets a coin flip for pick #4 vs. the field. Seahawks 80% to pick top 10.

 

Seattle just lost! This was planned by JD. He's a super-genius playing 6-D chess! And even better - Chicago won that game putting them behind the Jets in the draft pick race.

The end to the Chicago game was great. Going for two to win when they could tie was funny and amazing.

 

We rarely get one win in a week. Today we got two. Very good day to be us for once.

 

if you want to be very draft centric, then it's actually three since the Texans also won to keep pace with us

4 - Carolina lost again

 

4 as the Panthers lost too, so that 2nd rounder gets even better.

 

Now the Jets just have to lose the last 2 games to optimize their picks. They have a few teams just ahead of them with 5 wins.

 

I don’t root for the Jets to lose BUT I don’t see any way they win these next two games not with Tampa and Buffalo in the hunt for home playoff games. They’re not gonna be resting anybody.

 

Looking at the Panthers and Seahawks remaining games.

Carolina has @NO & vs TB left. Not sure they win either of those so that 2nd rounder is almost a lock for the top 40 IMO.

Seattle has vs DET & @ARI. Most likely they go 1-1 but wouldn’t it be sweet if Detroit pulled off the stunner next week? They’ve been playing decent ball lately so I don’t think it’s totally out of the question. If they go 0-2, decent chance we have 2 top 5 picks in the draft.

 

Wouldn’t it be nice if Houston found a way to win another game ….
