Tankathon - 2021 Edition

I can see the Jets beating the Bills and losing to Jax. That is just how this team rolls.

 

If the Bills are sitting everybody with a high seed secure that absolutely can happen …although I don’t see them losing to Jax not at Met Life anyway in Jacksonville they probably would….

 

They're now a game and a half behind the Pats. Looks like they'll have to settle for a WC spot at this point.

I can't say for sure that the Jags are a win because our defense can't stop a nosebleed most weeks.

 

Lawrence will have his best game as a pro when we play them. Bank on it.

 

Zach could also have a meltdown.

Whichever rookie comes to play without too many mistakes should take the win.

 

Based on the fact that we have the worst ranked defense in the league and pretty much every QB we've played has lit us up, I'm going to stick with the notion of Lawrence having an excellent game against us. But you do you and bring Wilson into the conversation. Yes, he could have a "meltdown." So could any number of Jets players.

 

No way no how the Jets beat that Bills defense. You can luck out in a lot of ways but when your defense is as bad as the Jets right now you absolutely cannot beat a top 3 defense.

He went with Becton because Becton was huge and nimble and offered more upside.

However he didn't take into account that Becton might get huger once he had a nice comfy contract and was fairly likely to be on IR a fair amount if that happened.

Most of JD's decisions have been swings for the fences. Those come with high strikeout rates also.

The one I hate the most is not the Wilson pick, although that is in the vicinity. I hated the trade up for AVT. That was such a loser move in which almost all of the upside was removed from the outset with the loss of the two 3rd round picks. That left the Jets at best close to even on the pick and quite possibly down bigtime if something happened to AVT.

It’s week 18 so it will probably be the obligatory win against their backups

 

I’m not sure they’ll have that luxury though so we’re probably in for our 38-10 beat down.

 

The Jets couldn't beat the Bills backups at this point.

The game is in Buffalo. It's gonna be freezing at game time.

The Bills backups are gonna be all pumped up to stomp the Jets and the Jets are just gonna want to end the season.

 

I think the Bills backups are better than the Texans starters so it could be close.

 

I wonder for how many more Seasons we will have Tankathon threads...just a question

 

Probably 0 for the near future. There is no way the Jets are out of the playoff race so early next year.

I consider myself pretty realistic. It’s not like I’m even saying they’ll make the playoffs
