Did he REALLY say this? DEFLATED, REALLY? Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN 28m28 minutes ago League source on tampering resolution: “Jets shouldn’t be too deflated over the decision. It won’t change the positive air around team” #nyj
LOL he's just poking fun and jabbing at the Pats. "Deflated" "positive air". That actually got a laugh out of me. At least we didn't lose any draft picks.
100K in petty fines for Revis? Well worth it. How's that Wells report coming along? Oh right I forgot..the Patriots are allowed to cheat.
their outrage is hysterical...Woody's tampering was nothing like the Briggs case...some there actually think they should gave gotten our first
Sure he did, but it was the most benign and unintentional tampering ever as he responded to a direct question. In the future he will know to say "I can't comment on players under contract by other teams". By the way Rex did more overt tampering in press conferences leading up to games than Woody ever did.
Doesn't every penny the Jets spend come out of his pocket? Last I saw the Jets were still privately owned.
Mark my words, this will be the justification Goodell uses in his mind NOT to take picks from NE when the Wells report finally comes in, assuming he hasn't retired by then.
And right on cue. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...report-soon-042815?cmpid=tsmtw:fscom:nflonfox FOX Sports: NFL @NFLonFOX 12m12 minutes ago Roger Goodell expects Deflategate report's release 'soon' - http://foxs.pt/1Fv5KaT
Waiting for report findings show Bill Bellichek commandeering footballs and berating key staff to take air out of footballs. Tom Brady joined in the occasion.
Doubtful that the NFL actually punishes the Pats in the Wells report. As Kraft smugly pointed out "There is no smoking gun". But make no mistake...31 teams know what's up. If Rams practices, Jaguars radio frequencies(again in the playoffs) Ted Johnson's comments & of course spygate didn't send the message...this most certainly will. The worst sanctions ever handed down to a team STILL didn't teach them. If Goodell won't take a stand I expect every opponent the Patriots face in the foreseeable future to blow the whistle on every miniscule aspect of games where there MIGHT be a "smoking gun".Especially in the AFC East Let me also say...It would normally be sad to see passionate fans such as New England see all their glory tainted by such nonsense. But we shouldn't have an OUNCE of pity. Not a single Patriot fan, player, media advocate or ANYONE w/ rooting interests or connections to the team have shown even the least bit of concern, regret or respect for the integrity of the game or the opponents they affected. I'd like to think if the Jets were caught doing similar fowl play there would be some backlash toward the specific wrongdoers;if not for sheer respect for the game. It may not be today...or in the next few years..but eventually the truth is gonna come out about all of this...to Mr. Kraft: There may not be a smoking gun..but where there is smoke, there is fire. Maybe then the pompous patty cake fan will show some respect & humility...
