I don't follow college ball enough to comment on talent but whether it's in FA or through the draft, we need a TE and a dominant one.

Jets should take the best player available. With the 18th pick The JETS select - Darqueze Dennard (CB, Michigan State) LMAOOOOO

I haven't really watched him at all, but I hear comparisons to Revis in the way he plays. If he even came close to Revis in his prime, I would pick him at #18, but then I wouldn't blame Jet fans for being in a riot cause we selected another defensive player in the 1st round (when offense needs a lot of help), even if he is BPA.

    This is exactly it.

Tony Gonzalez worth the 13? No doubt about it.

Davis worth the 6? Not a chance in hell. Worth the 13? Only if you're willing to take half the player that Gonzalez is on that pick. I think the 20 might be about right, although there are MANY TE's taken after that who have been better players.

    Antonio Gates
    Jimmy Graham
    Rob Gronkowski

Jason Witten has caught nearly twice as many passes as Davis since 2006.

I mean I have no problem giving Davis a semi-pass because he's played for the 49ers but Greg Olsen has caught nearly as many passes as him over the last 6 seasons. Dustin Keller caught almost as many when he was healthy and he's been playing with mostly crap at QB during his career.

There comes a point where you look at a very talented guy who is performing like a good player and you ask yourself whether that might not be because he's just a good player.

Great players do not have a Jekyll and Hyde career path the way Davis has. That's what makes them great.
