Dont let one play at the end of the game sway your opinion. Ferg had his way all night outside of the play where Geno should of thrown INT #3.
People see the lack of depth at WR, CB situation in flux, struggling LG, no safety adept in coverage…etc., and think this was the same problems we had last year. But the reality is the team is better but in areas that's not making a noticeable difference. While I don't agree, many feel having Vick makes our QB situation better than it would with Sanchez. There wasn't a QB competition so although one might feel better about the situation the end product is pretty much the same. Chris Johnson was added to an already stout rushing attack. If things continue to go the way they've been he may have a net negative impact. His touches mean less touches for Ivory and Powell who seem to have more explosiveness at this point. Decker is good signing but his impact is diminished by not coupling him with another quality starter. Pryor is a really good player but at this point in his career he is more comfortable playing in the box. We already had 3 other safeties on the roster with similar M.O.s. Amaro another good player but TEs, especially rookie TEs, are not going have to a huge impact, with Graham being the exception. This why I said before the season started that we are better but will probably lose more games than we did the year before.
Funny thing about Marty. He made some truly boneheaded calls when he was HC of the Lions. Maybe there are just some guys who really know their stuff, but suffer lapses in judgment.
I feel Geno was as bad as everyone is makiing it out to be . He got lucky on some of those passes looked liked they were getting picked . I counted at least 3 or 4 passes ,especially on the last drive that should have been picked cleanly . Idk is Vick any better? Yeah. But like Geno .Vick dont know when to slide and will more then likely get injured . Rex should have gave Vick the job if they were looking to make any kinda run. I just feel Geno is not NFL mature enough to just play the cards you get and let the Defense and Running game put him in better situations.
A very bold strategy. I seem to remember the Jets kicking off in the beginning of the game and at half time to play the winds against Buffalo under Mangini. I could be wrong, but that's always been a memory in my mind.
there is a fine line between bold and dumb. i like marty as an o.c. but he has made some head scratching calls throughout his career
Judging a GM in week 3 of his second season is horrible. Especially considering he took over such a giant mess. When Idzik took over this team we had: bottom 5 QBs bottom 5 HBs bottom 5 Receivers bottom 5 linebackers bottom 5 safties top corners, but with a ton invested in them an average defensive line an average offensive line there is simply no way humanly possible to fix all of that in a couple offseasons. but since he has been here we have improved our defensive line, our recievers, our running backs and our salary situation. he has put the structure in place to improve this team, while adding some REALLY good young players. sometimes you need to be bad before you can get better. before idzik we were getting bad with no plan for the future. throwing big money at decent players is a bad fix. idzik is doing it the right way.
They handed it to geno because its important for the franchise to see if he can improve or mature. letting vick play doesnt help us in any way shape or form. us winning games with vick isnt necessarily better then losing them with geno
nfl replay is great, because you can watch any player on any play start to finish. like i said they have a promo for 7 days free, its worth checking out. it really opens your eyes to alot of stuff. even watching the broadcast 2 or 3 times, you see it one way, then watch the all-22 and realize things were completely different
he got beat a few times. allen had a really good game. he forced alot of rushed throws and was deep in the backfield alot
