I'm afraid your wrong. The Dolphins and Marlins play on Natural Grass. They cut and trim the field so short so the running game has better speed. When the Marlins play in April they cut out that section of the field for the dirt infield.
How could you possibly say that jason taylor "owned" d'brick when taylor had almost no impact on the game. Taylor had the one speed sack and a tackle in the backfield and that was it. He was being handled pretty well the entire game and was getting frustrated. D'brick was very impressive against him. He took all the right steps and protected Penningotn better than most vets do against Taylor.
exactly. This guy over exaggerates. Schobel took him to school, 3 sacks couple of forced fumbles, etc, not Taylor. Taylor had one sack and a couple of meaningless tackles. The fact that Taylor is supposed to be the leading defensive mvp candidate and he went up against a rookie and didnt do much speaks volumes for Brick.
He missed a series or 2 give me a break, and btw hes a rookie sometimes going against Taylor 1 on 1, probably the defensive mvp, so spare me. Keep it dbrick.
This post is crap especially after a big win. jason taylor did absolutly nothing besides that one sack. If anything D'Brick took him to school. There was a lot of times D'Brick was protecting him so well jason taylor just gave up and tried to jump up and deflect the pass because HE COULDNT GET BY D'BRICK. As for Chad I'd like to see any other QB in the league have a perfect night throwing in those conditions. You really have no idea how hard it is to throw the ball when its that wet. Chad fought through the conditions and adversity to lead us to victory. Maybe he doesnt have the strongest arm but unlike QB's like vick or eli Chad is a winner something the other 2 guys I mentioned arent. I will take a winner with a weak arm then a loser with a strong arm.
The sack on Chad. Jason Taylor confused D'Brick because he was at a 2 Pt stance and not the 4 pt stance and D'Brick wasn't sure to get him or not and that was the rookie mistake that led to the Sack on Chad. Other than that, D'Brick schooled him.
Great post. Did anyone see when they game end, Taylor go up to Brick, shake his hand, and appear to compliment him strongly? After years of watching Taylor, I can honestly say he would not do that unless Brick truly did play well against him, and has a bright future.
Hmmmmm, maybe Taylor more class than we have given him credit for. I do agree with the sentiment of this thread, that Taylor had a couple of good plays, but generally, he was kept in reasonable check all night. The tackle in the backfield - D'Brick missed his assignment. He thought the RB was supposed to take Taylor. The sac - Taylor just sped around D'Brick - it can happen once in a while.
