Lorenzo Neal Height: 5-11 Weight: 255 Born: Dec 27, 1970 Tony Richardson Height: 6-1 Weight: 238 Born: Dec 17, 1971 What a difference a year makes.............................
Love to have him back. Can't argue with the success the running game had. TR's a gamer. We need more guys like him. Just a decade younger.
Putting Javorski Lane on a college field just isn't fair to the other side. I'm kind of afraid of what his high school film looks like.
T-Rich should be brought back. Even at his age he is still one of the best blocking fullbacks in the NFL.
I definitely like his hands and I love the block he made, but he's definitely better off as a FB. It looks like he takes full advantage of the weight difference between himself and the guys trying to tackle him, because he doesn't look like he runs with the type of leverage you want to see from a short yardage back. It'll be interesting to see if he makes the transition to the Pros.
Tony would be a great mentor for Dustin. He could help him with blocking skills. Pull the trigger, tanny
he was converted as a FB his senior yr and thats when his production dropped off, word was Mike Sherman in his 1st yr there had no idea how to really use him. hence most of the highlights were him playing HB his first 3 years. that was my point though, drafting him as a FB/Short yardage back. if hes coached right I think he could be a significant role player. thats as long as his weight stays in control. right now the report is it isnt but hes still impressing scouts i say if hes there in the 5th or later go for it. i think itd spell the end of falling short of 3rd and 2's.
You'd never guess he's rolling up on 40 just by watching him play, especially when he was the ball-carrier. Considering how beastly he played last season, I don't imagine Rex would let him walk.
actually it does, to the point Neal's replacement has been drafted last yr. so yeah Richardson over Neal.
I'm a bit of a Caulcrick fan after watching him at TC last summer. The kid was very young and still learning, but I'd like to see him in camp again this year and see what he can show. I really like TR, but at some point we're going to need younger legs.
More on Caulcrick... Height: 6'0" Weight: 258 Strengths: A powerful runner with good hands, Caulcrick excels at protecting the ball. At 6-foot and 258 pounds, he has shown great ability in short yardage situations, especially as a goal line runner. His size and strength make him difficult to tackle and should allow him to develop into a decent pass and run blocker. ?When Jehuu is in a zone, he's almost unstoppable because of his ability to break tackles and punish defenders,? Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said on MSU?s athletic website. ?He's a big back that has a knack for scoring touchdowns.? Weaknesses: The fullback position isn?t usually a major area of concern throughout the first few rounds of the NFL draft. The Rams selected Brian Leonard in the second round last year, but fullbacks normally aren?t picked until Day 2. Furthermore, Caulcrick ranks at the bottom of the top 10 fullback list, which is not a good sign that he will be chosen. Seven fullbacks were selected in last year?s draft, but only two were taken in 2006. Caulcrick said in an interview with nfldraftscout.com that he needs to improve his explosion toward the hole and going downfield. College highlights: Caulcrick led the Big Ten in scoring in 2007, rushing for a school-record 21 touchdowns and averaging 9.7 points per game. For his career, Caulcrick rushed 532 times for 2,395 yards and 39 touchdowns. He ran for 872 yards on 222 attempts his senior year. In the game against Michigan, Caulcrick rushed 22 times for 84 yards and two second half touchdowns. that'd be me.....thanks for posting it. any talk of a college kid coming in to play full back should include his ability to play special teams.
