So the Jets are going to run the west coast offense again? If so, somebody please hit me over the head.

Profootballtalk is the worst website that has ever burdoned mankind with it's pitiful existance. They are never right in any of their nonsensical ramblings, rather, when they are not putting up info that is already widely known to try and gain some false respectibility, they're putting up absolutely baseless rumors for the SOLE PURPOSE of random fans making a big deal about it, much like what is happening here. Because of this thread, more people now know about that waste of life website, and will probably check it in the future to see how much farther in their collective asses they can look for "news", just to pull it out and again force themselves into the limelight.

This rumor is a joke, the thread by association is a joke, and I won't even begin to try and wrap my mind around a possible trade up for Jay Cutler, which would make me do no less than burn something of mine with the Jets logo on it.

I wouldn't bet against it. Without a quarterback and a bunch of atleast half decent runningbacks and two WCO receivers the pieces are in place. *sigh*

A west coast offense opperated correctly can be great. Notice i said operated correctly (i.e. mike holmgren's offense). You have to build your offense on the players you have.

And if we get leinart, we could have one hell of a west coast offense with our two TE, maybe add another receiver.

This was my exact thinking, Herm and Bradway are gone. Mangini learned how to play draft poker from the best. I think this is all a smokescreen to try to get somebody to jump ahead of us and allow Bush to fall to #2. I'm still not sold on the Texans staying put at #1. I seriously doubt Cutler would be the pick at #2 when it's pretty clear he can be had at 4. Maybe the guy the Jets are really in love with is Lienart.....
