If the jets jump over the saints for number two. They should take Matt leinart.

OMG no way this happens, the only thing that could be worse than this is drafting young over leinart. I still like cutler at 4

I can't believe the Jets would trade up to #2 (and give up how much to do so?) to take Cutler. That would be one of the dumbest moves this franchise has ever made. And that is saying a LOT.

What if we traded to #2 and the Texans passed on Bush for what ever reason.

I don't want to trade up. I think some media guy is blowing smoke.

Wow I just wonder what we would need to give up to jump to #2?

I could see our early 2nd round pick going bye-bye...

Wouldn't be a fan of this.

I am still not crazy about drafting a qb so early when our OL is in shambles. If the CS has any intentions of playing this rookie QB next year, he's going to be running for his life, ala Carr, will be seeing most of the game while laying his back, and will be lucky to make it through the season uninjured.

Well theres other teams that managed to do this successfully with crap olines, such as the giants and bengals. As long as we have some youth at these positions, they'll improve with time.

You realize there is also Free agency and 6 other rounds to fill the Offensive line positions right? I know you know that, but seriously...alot of people say this and it just doesnt make any sense...

    BOTTOM LINE
If the New York Football Jets draft leinhart.....our offense will be just as bad as it was this year. If anyone here watched Matt play in a game against a good team...like Texas..you would see how terrible of a game he had, just look at his stats, and he culdnt hold it towards the end. The rest of the teams he played were like UTEP, Arizona, and other shitty teams. Thats y he looked so good, im not saying the same for reggie though but matt leniart will be a terrible nfl qb

DO NOT TRADE UP. unless the texans take a qb which they probably wont, the jets are guaranteed a good qb. I would be completely satisfied with young or cutler. Young has amazing playmaking ability and cutler is just a great passer. There is a great chance that you can get either of them without trading up. This rumor is just bs.

If this were our last regime I could see this happening but with these new guys I don't expect anything other than staying put or trading down if anything, which wouldn't be a bad move btw, if not for our huge ? at QB.

Trade Down, Take L. White and McNeil or Justice...this whole Cutler thing has Harrington written all over it. If they trade up, they should take Leinart or Young...if they want Cutler so bad, i bet he will be there at 4.

Not going to happen. If Titans take Cutler, just take VY, this is in no way 'settling'.

WHAT? he did outstanding in the rose bowl especially in the second half. He made some GREAT throws in that game, which was overshadowed by young's game.

This post is terribly ignorant. I've seen every game Matt played in at USC. His only subpar game was against Texas.

With that said, a guy like Matt is the final piece of the puzzle, not something to build around. Put him on a good team with a good OL and you're going to win. Matt on a bad team will be ugly. His OL at USC was top notch. But when teams applied consistant pressure, he got rattled pretty easy. He's like Peyton Manning with 85% of the arm.

I'd seriously be fine with any of the three QB's available. All of them have screaming potential. Do not trade up!
