If you figure in this year's juniors, it'd be Erik Ainge, Chad Henne, JD Booty, Kyle Wright, JeMarcus Russell off the top of my head, add in Sam Keller, who's guaranteed to be a top 3 QB with his talent and in Nebraska's offense. Not counting the inevitable MAC/CUSA QB that'll rise up the charts, I'd say that Brohm is just as good if not better than each of those guys. Sophomores (would be Jrs) like Rudy Carpenter, Willie Tuitama, Ben Olson, Colt McCoy, and Drew Weatherford could complicate things, all look like solid options this early on.
I really don't like him as a prospect, even watching him tonight. He doesn't get his pad level down, and he really doesn't have the big bruising running style his height and weight would indicate. Obviously he has the speed, but it's harder for a big guy like him to move laterally when they aren't really knock you on your ass type of runners.
It's a valid point, but the game wasn't totally out of reach yet. Kentucky had put together a decent rally, and were still playing well.
A broken leg isn't nearly as bad as a shredded knee. He will come back and be fine after they set the bone. He won't need reconstructive surgery like McGahee.
Supposedly? Definitely. It was a nasty break. His leg was just hanging there, all wobbly. Not good at all.
I didn't see it, but heard it was nasty but still a break is usually a pretty easy heal. At least relatively speaking.
He broke his tibia and his fibula and had surgery to repair it. That's no good. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=2572546
This is an injury that will cost him millions. I dont see him dropping any lower then the 3rd though. The Combine will make or break him. Hes going to have to prove hes healthy there.
