    It's always funny to see someone take it as serious. Yankee fans think the 'stache is as ridiculous as everyone else. Talking about how awesome it is evokes really strong negative reactions from non-Yankees fans though.

    My wife's nickname for Giambi has always been "Greasy". Now all she says when she sees him is "He just reminds me of Ron Jeremy".

    No beards and no long hair. Mustaches were always cool. Old Man Steinbrenner always liked the way they tickled.

    The policy was actually changed this year. It was amended to allow only a moustache, and then, cannot be long enough to go past the top of the upper lip.

    Well, Guidry retired quite a while before Mattingly. Pags had a mustache while here too. Winfield as well.

    After Donnie, though, facial hair was a no-no.
