if we got mario, id hope that they use him at OLB, the jets front 7 could dominate with monsters lining up in the box. kimo, robertson, ellis, mario, vilma, barton, hobson. thats strong, but i dont really feel that robertsons a 3-4 nose tackle, hes only 286 pounds, hes too small, we need a guy that can collapse the pocket in the a or b gaps. im assuming thats why the singned monsanto pope, as a 3-4 nose tackle, hes a sam adams type player, and would be a great weapon in short yardage situations.
Hell no-this guy is 6-7 290- he is an end 100%. Just because the Pats had a 270 lb linebacker (McGinist) doesn't mean that 3-4 LB are always going to be that big. He's an end in either system, but I think his talent may be wasted a little in a 3-4 because he will primarily eat up blocks. He's too good to be a clogger- which is a big role of a 3-4 lineman. Regardless, I have seen him play, and he is really good- I focused on him in a game towards the end of the season, and I was very impressed.
Sorry Bro, Pope wasn't signed for a NT-- he's 6-3 300 and was a backup with Denver. Robertson is much better suited for nose, and even he shouldn't be playing there.
wow- I didn't even see that-- you have Robertson mixed up with james reed. Reed is 286- Robertson is like 317.
