Every team is Super Bowl or bust. The goal is not to win a few games, maybe get in the playoffs occasionally........

I have a standing vacation request (and plan to raid my kids' college accounts) if the Jets even make it to the Super Bowl. Euphoria doesn't even begin to describe what that will feel like.

 

Ben was asked to do very little for that 2005 Steelers team, so he was able to be smart with the ball. We should be in great shape if we can ask the same of Sanchez.

Ben had 2300 yards and a 17-9 TD-INT ratio. (He also missed time) As NDMick astutely pointed out, 3000 yards and a 1:1 ratio would be a good season from Sanchez. If the team keeps in mind he's a 2nd year QB and doesn't try to ratchet up his game like we did after the first few weeks last year, we could do extremely well with that 2nd year QB. I just don't want to see people thinking he's got to win it for us by playing like a Pro Bowler.

 

Now there talking my lingo. SUPER BOWL or BUST! I endorse those words a zillion%

Oh sure if there was a trashtalking championship the Jets would win hands down.

While I don't think the Jets will take a step back this year you do have a young QB still trying to find his way. Your defense should be one of the best units in the league again (I'm banking on it in my money fantasy league).

None of that however is any guarantee of success.

Did you read the whole article? You are pretty much agreeing with what Rex claimed. There is no guarantee but it sure as hell is his goal.

 

wouldn't it be great if anybody who made these types of bogus claims actually had to back it up w/valid quotes of what they consider "trash talk"?
