i can see the headlines already.. will Marcal Jump Shipp? There are plenty of god runningbacks out there that we can get.
They should try to go for Jacksonville RB/FB Greg Jones hes what we need, quick and strong. Hes like 6'1'' 250.
Look at ASKEW's numbers against the Radiers last year, his only real shot a HB.... Dec. 11, 2005 - 5:17 p.m. ET B.J. Askew rushed nine times for 56 yards in week 14.
You people could find anything to whine about. Big deal. The dude has a problem with staying healthy. Let me say it again: THIS IS A REBUILDING YEAR. NO HABLA ENGLAIS?
Here is a list of guys who I think could make a difference if given a shot with the Jets, and most of them you would think are available for the right price. Musa Smith Chris Perry Jonathan Wells (FA) Chris Brown Michael Turner Julius Jones Marion Barber Ladell Betts Thomas Jones Adrian Peterson Artose Pinner Najeh Davenport TJ Duckett Eric Shelton Deuce McCallister Michael Pittman Kevan Barlow Marcel Shipp Maurice Morris I don't see why we don't sign Jonathan Wells, and then trade Strait for a NT.
This is awesome, I think. Tells you a tad bit more of the CS here. I think this shows how stringant they are in terms of who stays and who goes. Herm would've said " He can walk. Therefore, he's fine... a couple of more weeks rehabbing/situational practices and he'll be back to playing form in no time" Smells like Chester McGlockton in here..... If feasible... my vote is for Adrian Peterson.
ANd one more thing.....Half of you were dancing for glee when they got Blaylame and said he was just as good as Jordan.
LOL yeah I read it afterwards and immediately the whole George Costanza "Jerk store" thing came to mind.
Hehe :rofl2: I don't really know who else we can acquire....between mangini's need for high character guys and not using draft pics to get a guy who is better then what we have combined with starting back injury woes...i don't really see to many options....
Hey at least we didn't get stuck with an injured player. So the press will be all over this but the FO did what they thought was best for the team and didn't accept an injured player.
You need to scratch a rack of names of that list. 3/4's of those guys will cost more then we will be willing to pay.
Figures this shit would happen. Let's not forget. We had our Franchise RB in our grasp and let him go. The Lamont Curse Continues!! Hey! Most of you guys said "RB's are a dime a Dozen" yet we are scramblin like idiots to find one. It boils down to the Hatred for Lamont and all the excuses people made up.
This is my favorite part of Mangini's quote (cold, calculating, matter of fact): "I wish Lee well, and I look forward to Derrick getting back here and getting to work."
Damn, I was hoping this injury-prone RB was going to slip through his physical so he could make his new home on our IR. Pardon me if I don't weep. The only problem I have with this is that we'll probably get nothing for Strait and he'll be a goner at the end of the season. I was trying to see the bright side with Suggs, but the guy has a list of injuries as long as my arm.
I would like to stick with what we have unless we sign Wells, or trade a 2nd day draft pick or non-starter for Greg Jones, Chris Perry, TJ Duckett. Although I thought Perry and Duckett were injured already in the preseason or late last year. Correct me if I am wrong. I think these guys are young enough to contribute for a while. I like Greg Jones the most, although I have read places that he may be their starter if Fragile Freddy gets banged up, so I would be pleasantly surprised if we could steal him away.
