Right, but that doesn't mean his agent isn't going to try and get him every last cent he possibly can.
Still want us to try and make a move on Jimmy Graham... trade our 4th for him. I know seattle probably wants to get him off their hands esp. after that injury. Yesterday it was reported that he should be ready for week 1. Maybe we can get him to restructure to a much smaller 2 year deal with 1 year guaranteed as a prove it.. and a chance to really put us over the top. Probably won't happen.. just a thought, we'd be legit.
They got a lot of cap space and there really isn't any good TE's out there.. I got a feeling they'll keep him around but if not... i'd like that too. Bring some attitude to our offense.. and more NY Bears. I just feel like Jimmy G would be a great fit in chan's offense.. perfect fit actually receiving wise.
this is all pretty fair for the most part.... although a few things i disagree with: Bricks replacment. i think he should have been brought in last year. that doesnt mean he needed to replace brick last year, but he should have been drafted. unless macs plan was t cut brick all along, which so far hasnt happened. Skrine - i dont think he earned his contract. he wasnt bad he makes alot of money. for the record, i dont think mac did a bad job, i just was always confused with all the praise given the tough decisions hadnt happened yet. i think mac has done an ok job, although im concerned the big money to 30+ year olds will catch up to us if he isnt careful
MikeSilver Talks have intensified between the 49ers and Broncos re: Kaepernick. But Broncos are not the only suitor. More on @nflnetwork soon
I hear you on all counts. On draft night, - I did not want Leonard Williams. I didnt want another DL. I didnt want someone who would put Mo Wilk's JETS future in jeopardy, as I was certain that drafting Williams meant the end of Mo as a JET. But Mike Macc was following his philosophy BPA in his year 1 as a GM. In Mike Macc's mind, he felt he earned that right. IMO, - the contracts given to the 30+ was necessary beyond his control to make this team relevant immediately & would attract FAs to this org in the future. In the scheme of things, those contracts are in fact short term ---- from what I understand, - we'll have some CAP room next year. I like Skrine. Slot CBs are becoming critically important & I think he'll get better.
They are going hard for a 2nd rounder and I wouldn't even give up a 3rd for Kaepernick and that awful contract. Hope Fitz can concede some cash with maybe some incentives in his deal.
Depends how you look at it. Hes worth whatever the market will pay and if the market is paying Bradford and Osweiler 18M per, then he is absolutely worth 15M. Give the guy a break, he's trying to maximize his earning potential same as anyone would do.
If a dumbass team wants to pay him 15 go ahead. It won't be the jets l. Osweiler is getting paid for upside, fitz has no upside he is what he is. And I don't even like that Brock contract either
Rod streater is visiting the jets tomorrow, man if we signed him imagine our o now with: Marshall, decker, forte, Robinson, Powell and streater not to mention maybe Devin and amaro may becoming into their own and if Enunwa can sure up his hands wow Any qb that goes in with that group would easily have 30+ TD's
And OLBs. Well, many of us have been clamoring over the last several years for the Jets to quit spending all the draft picks and FA $s on D and quit ignoring the offense. Looks like we're getting our wish. The D may have wait its turn.
I think it's very possible the Jets will go OL/ back 7 on all of their first five draft picks..... UNLESS one of the QBs they like starts sliding and they trade up
