Why would people pay $6 to $8 for a stale sub when you can get that same price of awesome Chipotle, etc?

I think their sales fell 4% last year and are destined for a Mcdonalds type sales drop.

Actually McDonalds sales have risen...And lets be honest, the recession SAVED McDonalds. They were about to go under and were literally out of ideas back then

Not only that but why would you choose to pay more like $9 for a sub at Subway when you can go to a deli and get fresh cold cuts and meat for the same price if not cheaper?

Unfortunately Subway is the only food in walking distance from my job so I tend to eat their salads sometimes. The food is still garbage though.

I've been going to Jimmy Johns the last year or so anyway. It's a little more but tastes better. Only good things made in Oregon food-wis are coffee and donuts.

Those are only the DINKS that live on the way to the coast, Stokes that own those wineries..... they have also have opened up "antiquing centers." And you do know what a DINK is, right, Stokes?

Here's a real good reason: There are over 44,000 Subway locations and only 1700 Chipotles.

Exactly.... Subway is a terrible sandwich and is all marketing. It's truly sad how easily the American population can fooled into eating at shitty places because Justin Tuck eats there. I tend to avoid McDonald's despite the fact that they have probably paid Michael Jordan more money to endorse their horrible food then I'll ever see in my lifetime.

I have 4 kids and was married (widowed) and I worked with a lot if DINKS. Was envious of all the crap they could do because of all the disposable income but now that I have the extra disposable income AND grown children to enjoy, I believe the envy has shifted.

But when I was out in Oregon last year I had some great Pinot's. The Benton Lane was delicious.

    But yeah, I don't antique. And it's not a verb, it's a noun.

And not PNW IPAs...... Dink :p

on the topic, I unfortunately had Subway the other day, due to being starving, and on a press deadline (it was the closest "fast" place to the office") Yep, it's more expensive now and felt like the bread was made from an old sponge.

Chick-Fil-A has the best fast food chicken. I'd include Raising Canes in there but there are very few of those around.
