Strangely enough, Raiders probably just screwed us over with their win

Of course. But, the off the field stuff is also rather difficult to assess, and therefore, it's very uncertain how much it will truly affect Winston's prospects as a starting NFL QB. He might be a total bust because of it or it might be greatly blown out of proportion. As a result, I'm very hesitant to compare him to Russell, who is an admitted drug addict, among other things.

One shitty game in which both players looked almost exactly like they looked in college. Winston's, "heave it up and hope my guy comes down with the ball" works good in college when your receivers are much bigger and stronger, not so much in the NFL.

I thought Mariotta looked excellent. But hey, I thought RGIII looked amazing in his rookie year as well.

I still think Mariotta will be good in the NFL but not based on what he did against a putrid TB team.

Griffin looked good playing Qb in an unsustainable way, taking chances of getting the big hit on him. Mariota played out of the pocket from what I saw on Redzone, and was very accurate. He plays a sustainable style, and is more likely to hold up long term. Your comparison is apples and oranges.

I didn't make any comparison, you're confusing me with someone else. All I said was Griffin did look amazing.

The discussion was Mariota, and you brought up Griffin.

I am guessing in school you had issues with essays asking you to compare and contrast.

Any truth to the rumor that canton is calling an emergency induction ceremony for mariotta?

I didn't bring up Griffin, someone else did. I was truly, simply, commenting on the fact that Griffin did look very good his rookie year, because someone else mentioned his rookie year. I haven't even seen the Bucs-Titans game, I literally have no comment on Mariota. You said MY comparison was apples and oranges, when it was not my comparison, nor is it now. I just woke up to sex so I'm in a good mood, please don't ruin it by suggesting I had a hard time in school, because I can assure you I didn't.

I still feel Bryce Petty will eventually go down as the best QB of the 2015 Draft. So who cares about Mariota or Winston?:D:);)

Surprisingly (to me) they seem pretty comfortable with Petty as the backup. I thought that was a one week thing but they never signed anybody this week. If Smith still won't be back before the bye then I am wondering if Petty might not still be the backup when he does come back.

OK, now who still wants Mariota?

    That's what I thought.
