Strangely enough, Raiders probably just screwed us over with their win

There was way too much risk with Marino in 1983. There was way too much risk with Sapp in 95. There was way too much risk with Moss in 98. And way too much risk with Dez Bryant. You have to stop saying I wouldn't touch so and so with a 10 foot pole and take the risk. It might actually work out.

Exactly, I'm tired of passing up talent because it's risky. I'd rather bet big on a guy with great talent than bet big on a model citizen with less talent.

Betting big on talent alone is also a path that this organization has NEVER really taken. It hasn't had too many truly HOF players either -maybe theres a correlation.

I will be so P.O. 'd at this organization if they pass up Winston. For this organization especially that is truly desperate for good QB play, more than anyone, to pass on a talent like Jameis Winston will make me furious.

Beyond that, I don't think there is anything about Winston that even remotely intimates bust. He could certainly bust, but from a football performance he has shown every necessary skill to play the position -- he reads coverage, can make throws and make good decisions. He doesn't appear to be relying solely on being a better athlete than his opponents which so often creates a fakes perception in college.

When people make such outlandish statements such as this its a shame that there is no recourse. So in 2 years when he turns out to Jamarcus where can we find you?

You've been here since September. I've been here since 2003. I'm pretty sure you know where to find me.

There was NO risk with Marino--those fake coke rumors were started by Shula so he would drop. Pittsburgh was a coke haven back in the late 70s so it made sense.

Best college QB I ever saw play live.

There needs to be consequences for such outlandish statements and prophecies that don't materialize.

You may not like Winston but to mention him in the same sentence with JaMarcus is just silly. Winston is 100x the player, teammate, leader that Russell ever was.

And I want Mariota but Wilson is going to be a very good player in this league, not a fat lazy slob like Russell who took his money and ran.

It's silly now. Go look up his rating from the experts back in the day.

I don't have to look up "ratings" made by fake experts. I watched him play. He was a big guy with a big arm. Nothing spoke about him being an exceptional QB. Never an exceptional talent or player like Winston.

We are in no position to take that risk. You don't go to Vegas and bet your mortgage money.
Winston is a time bomb. Why wouldn't you expect him to explode? And if he does ... see you in another 4 or 5 years.

that's bs. Winston is the most pro ready QB coming out. I'd love him here. people let espn brainwash them into thinking he's some trouble making criminal, he's not. he had a case, beat it.. for all we know that girl Coulda been trying to get fame from his name. We've seen it with plenty of athletes kobe kaepernick Big Ben etc. The crab thing is bullshit, if that alters the way you think of him maybe you're digging too deep. I get the hook up at a crab shack every sunday I know someone that works there, im sure some kid will just love to say he used to hook his boy Winston up with crabs back in the day when he's out there winning NFL games. it's unfortunate for him that his situations are getting blown up early in his career but I don't think they should define him as a person or as a QB, because he's REALLY good.

I don't get my info from him. I could have told you that Cammmmmm, Jamarcus, Krapernick, and GENO would be crap QBs. I like Bryce Petty. Mel puts him in the 3rd round.

He actually stole from a grocery store, and tried to hide it. And the left wing ESPN loves him.

So you are admitting that the experts you profer up as rating JaMarcus highly don't know shit?

Thank you for confirming my earlier post.

JaMarcus was NEVER in Winston's class as a QB.

Like I said. Silly putting them in the same sentence.

Re-read the bolded comment. A lot of people spoke of him as being an exceptional QB. Thats why i gave you the youtube clip.

Nothing to those of us who saw him play, just like you're thoughts on Cammm, Kaep and Geno.

All you are doing is proving Kiper is a blowhard. Address the argument about Winston, don't deflect it with bullshit about Mel Kiper.

Your comparison to Russell is meritless and the fact that your only defense is to bring up Mil Kiper reveals you don't know enough about either Russel or Winston to participate in a rational discussion on the subject.
