Deja Vu all over again. In 4 years we will be discussing how he's not getting sacks because he's always double teamed.
When we start winning we will pick lower in the first round and there will be more to talk about regarding the pick choice.
Will be pretty hard to double team both Williams as well. btw, that Safety against Drew Lock is such a crazy highlight. Was against a double team too. Impressive stuff.
I hope you sunshiners are right, I really do. But the "experts" who are gushing over QW were also canoodling Leo. Same for the Jets FO. And they were all wrong about Leo who just hasn't been impactful.
Haha fair enough my friend, sorry for the misinterpretation! Cheers to finding some more talent over the next 24 hours
Totally. Getting between 600 pounds of human at the D1 level is cake. Next draft, we should be looking for a guy that can beat triple teams.
It's a hell of a lot more impressive than Nate Shepherd burying 2 guys that were pushing carts at Walmart before classes. That's all I'm saying. I take it you don't like the selection. Sorry, I haven't kept up. If that is the case, I felt the same way back in January when his name started surfacing. However, in the last three months I've seen so much film on the kid that I've changed my mind. We're getting an absolute animal.
You can make the same argument about any GM pick and many of the picks folks here wanted instead, and they were off as much as on, with experts selections included. Can we please wait to see what a real defensive coach can do with Leo and Lee. Last year defensive schemes were pure horshit.
The funny thing is Bowles is a good defensive coach. But for some reason, instead of coaching the defense, he let Rodgers call the plays and Rodgers was terrible.
So are we better off with Polite and Quinnen Williams or Josh Allen and lets say we drafted Dre' Mont Jones at DT (who Denver picked after us near the Polite pick). I think I would rather have the former.
Excellent question. IMO, If we are able to keep Polite in check with a disciplined coach, which I firmly believe Greg Williams is, we could have a superior defense this year with a legit edge rusher and a much faster overall D with up front penetration. We better start chanting the Jets rendition 0f "Who let the dogs loose?"
Leonard made the probowl when there was other talent on the line. With the additions of Quinnen and Polite, Leonard is going to feast.
Where did I even imply that? My post was in response to someone using his college performance as a guarantee that he would do the same in the NFL. Or was I too subtle?
