People are so fucking pessimistic. This team is fine, every mistake we made last night can be fixed with better coaching.

We weren't outplayed, we just beat ourselves. We handed the Patriots 20 point differential(Folk missed FG, calling timeout before halftime, Joe McKnight drop, Shonne Greene tip interception)and all 20 of them should have NEVER happened.

This is different than last year, because last year the Patriots just beat us on all phases. We beat ourselves last night, and ill give credit to the Patriots for taking advantage. We have a tendency to up our game in the playoffs, and their isnt any major competition this year imo. I still like our chances.

nothing is a gimme this season. Who would of thought the Jags would make the Ravens look silly? Teams are going to play NE tough because everyone will write them off early because now all of a sudden, the Pats are the 85 Bears.

It wouldnt surprise me to see NE lose to the Bills again or lose to KC (MNF game) and the Eagles.

    This.

Also wouldn't pencil in a win against you guys (Dolphins) or the Bills. Divisional games are extremely tough especially late in the season.

I think you are seeing the real Bills and I would like to think the Fins will be a spoiler but I wont bet on it. I think the Jets biggest problem is a lack of identity. When Rex went back to pounding the ball they were fine. I dont understand the game plan last night whether or not the Pats have a horrible secondary. Not running the ball from the start was a mistake.

What I don't understand is how the 5-4 Jets are lock for the playoffs and the 5-4 Bills are lock to not make the playoffs. The fact that you Jets fans still think you already have a spot in the playoffs is laughable. You can't beat elite teams. I know the Bills have been sucking and we will probably miss the playoffs once again, but how delusional you guys are after getting your ass handed to you is so funny.

I was baffled by the decision to go away from the run as well. Rex admitted it was a mistake in the first 5 games to abandon their ground and pound identity, and after we win 3 in a row using that philosophy we ditch it again. It infuriates me that our short passes and runs got us down inside the 10 yard line on the first drive of the game, and then schotty decides its time to move away from that.

This team will be the death of me.

It's true. The way this team has played over the course of the season, nobody should be checking off future wins as automatic. Sure, the Bills looked like dogshit over their last few games but so didn't the Jets during their losing streak.

What quality win have we had all year really? San Diego? Buffalo? We played 2 of the AFC's best teams in the Ravens and Pats and got stomped in all 3 games.

    What game did you watch?

Carter absolutely man-handled a Pro Bowl LT, Jets had no clue how to stop Grontkowski and the Oline gave Brady all day to throw.

And you say the Jets weren't outplayed?????

Dude the game was played even until halftime and there were about 10-15 mental mistakes. How many times did you get 20-30 yards because of poor coverage. If the Jets are on there game that shit does not happen. How many times were your drives extended by boneheaded plays? You got the ball on the 10 one time because Joe McKnight muffed the punt. You also got 3 points on the field goal the play after Wilson should have picked the ball off and ran for 6. Also, how many times did one of our players miss a tackle that would have been a loss? See as much as you guys won the game we lost the game. But many of you Pats fans will listen to the media and say that we were destroyed. Yet again if you take away all of those mistakes which are not characteristic of our team then the game is a lot closer. Looking at that game that is not the New York Jets at all, I don't think anybody came to play last night, not even Rex or Pettine.

That's exactly what the national media is saying today, and they are absolutely correct.

That was the easiest game the Pats won all year.

You were up by 3 at halftime. How was that the easiest game you won all year? Can you even name the quarterback before Drew Bledsoe?

No 3 way ties this year. The Bills will lose at least 3 more games. The Pats will lose no more than 1. The Jets win out, the Pats get the division, the jets gwet #5 seed probably.

If Brady hadn't been out of sinc in the first half, the score would have been 21 to 12 (I'll even give you Folk's missed gimme).

The Pats certainly did not DESTROY the Jets, it was a game until the drive that resulted in Branch's TD, but to say the Jets played an even game minus some mistakes is ridiculous.

The game should have fucking been 10-0 in the first quarter, we just fucked it up.

You guys capitalized on our mistakes and momentums a bitch.

I'm not saying you didn't deserve the win, but that we also shot ourselves in the foot.

    edit:

If you guys do lose to the Bills, it comes down to conference record?

    sure am

AFC North -- Bengals still have to play the Ravens Twice and the Steelers one -- one of those 3 will not make the playoffs.

AFC South - was the Texans but now Schaub is out for a few weeks so you never know - still one team in the south.

AFC West - Cheifs are done - especially now that Cassell is done, San Diego we beat and they are behind the Raiders. Raiders still have to play Minnesota, Chicago, Miami, Green Bay, Detroit , Kansas City, and San Diego - so one team from the West makes it.

Jets will be the 6 worst case and can probably sneak up to the 5 if other teams beat each other up. All starts Thursday night in Denver. Jets got blasted last year in New England and were a drive away from the Super Bowl when all was said and done.
