This team wasn't a fringe playoff team even after beating the Raiders last week. Like with the Cowboys game, we caught a mediocre team on a bad day and stole a win. This is a bottom-feeding team on the same level as the Bengals, Redskins, and Dolphins. Congratulations to Christopher Johnson for finishing the job of ramming this franchise completely into the ground.
As others have said, it's not just that they lost. Cincy had been playing better lately and they were desperate for a win, and Jets have many injuries, and lack of talent especially on the OL. It was the WAY they lost. Just... no fire, no sharpness, no clue. Defense was especially awful, offense and ST terrible as well. Very very disappointing to anyone who thought they might have turn a corner. Plenty of blame to go around, but you have to put most on the coaching staff.
CBS just showed the playoff picture in the AFC. With Pittsburgh coming up in a few weeks I think the Jets would've controlled their own destiny if they had won today.
Nah not really. The Jets have the worst conference record of any team in the AFC except the Bengals. That's the second tie breaker behind head to head. We needed a loooot of things to fall into line including winning out and beating the best team in the NFL.
He won’t last past next season if these kind of game plans and results continue. Loyalty only goes so far in the NFL....
