Rex has become comically overrated on this message board. He gets all of the credit for his first two years of (relative) glory and none of the blame for the last 3 (going on 4) seasons of mediocrity and/or outright futility. And now, the Rex brigade wants to dump the general manager (who is in his second season with the team) again and hire the third scapegoat in the Rex era, just so that their hero (who is in his sixth season as head coach of the Jets) can be afforded the opportunity to embarrass himself and his organization at press conferences for another two or three years.

 

Why is it so hard for him to learn a little bit of clock management

 

Defensive head coaches are famously bad clock managers.
