And here is the final point on all this drama. If it true in anyway that Idzik set out to make Rex fail this season, then he needs to be fired. Idzik not spending the cap space available at this point is inexcusable. I understand the longterm aspect of it, the money gets carried over, but the bottomline is, the result is this season. Its about 2014, not 2015. Now someone has to pay, someone has to pay. There is no way that both Rex and Idzik can be retained for next year, you cant sell that to any fans, you just cant. Even if Idzik wanted to keep Rex at this point, its just not going to work, someone has to pay otherwise this fanbase will be even more disgruntled than what they already are. So I would say go all the way and remove everyone, every last person needs to go starting with John Idzik, then Rex Ryan, Marty Morningwhig, etc. Clean house. (I would love for Rex to stay but the result will be the same, no quality GM is going to come to this team if they have to retain Rex, look at Idzik, he was like what, the 5th option and the only guy that would take Rex? 2 signings that could have changed everything: Emmanuel Sanders (+Eric Decker, not removing Decker from the equation here) Brandon Flowers Flowers has more interceptions than the Jets entire team already, Sanders is playing very good (yes he is playing with Peyton but he has exceeded what Decker did last year so far).
