for a anti-yankee mets guy, the days after the yankees are out of the playoffs are like christmas for me. Each yelling Radio/TV show host is like another present i get to unwrap.

Here is a list who I dont want to be the next manager of the Yankees:

    Larry Bowa
    Tony Pena
    Lee Mazzilli
    Joe Girardi
    Dusty Baker
    Art Howe
    Bobby Valentine
    Billy Martin
    Buck Showalter
    Bucky Dent

    Who would I like?
    Frank Robinson
    Davey Johnson
    Orel Hershiser

Doubt any of it would ever happen though.

I used to be that way until I started going to the Stadium when I lived in Manhattan. If you really are into baseball, even as a big time Met fan, Yankee stadium is really something special. It's a great NYC experience.

Not yet. I would like to see him as a bench coach before a step up.

Exactly... run away and hide like GM did. It's easy.

Hiding or ignoring stupid threads? You decide.

I am curious to see what would happen if the Mets lose the NLCS or the WS..:breakdance:

Detroit's pitching, slumps at bad times, too much reliance on power to manufacture runs.

Well I've been here all along... when they were in last and first. I can tell you now that I won't be posting reagardless of the outcome of this WS and most likely the outcome of the NLCS either as I will be on the Mediterranean big pimpin for the last two weeks of October....

Yeah guys. No apologies this time, but I am taking what guys like Ecko and GM have said.

Plain and simple, I have not ragged on Mets fans since I was a little kid. Obviously, not all Yankees fans do the same. Mets fans are enjoying their day in the sun. That's why I was supporting the Mets even after the Yankees were out. 20 years is too long to go without a title when you play in a major market.

I walked away earlier because I didn't want to get into another pissing contest. It was the smart thing for me.

As for the bipolar comment, I am, clinically. Is that an excuse? Of course not. I already went over this in my apology thread.

As for the apology thread, I did it because I made some really stupid comments. Ask devil, he knows a particular one I am especially ashamed of.

As for the Mets, good luck to them. I'd love to sit here and say I want them to lose, just so I can rub their fans' noses in it, but I wouldn't do it anyway. I want the Mets to win it all, even if it means I am going to have to hear about for the next 12 months.

All I was asking for is for Mets fans to just let us have one thread where we can discuss the Yankees over the offseason. If that's too much to ask, then fine. Now that the weekend from Hell is done, I can sit back and remember all the titles we have sitting on the shelf. And no, I don't mean the 26 of them we've won throughout our history. I mean the the ones where we won more in the 90s than the Mets have won, period.

I'm not gonna credit Detroits pitching too much, because we have beat up on those same guys plenty, even this season. Slumps at bad times,i'm gonna agree with that, but how does every one of those guys pull it off at athe same time?

Dude, lets give them some credit. Their pitching was incredible during that series. We sucked a lot, but they do deserve credit for their performance.

You're a good poster Alio, try not to take things so seriously, especially in the BS forum. I understand it gets a little petty sometimes in here, especially when it comes to the Yanks & Mets. There are fans of both teams that just like to bust balls & there are fans of both teams that just like to have good baseball conversation, I go both ways, for the most part I just like to talk baseball regardless if the topic is the Mets or Yanks but I enjoy busting balls as well, especially in the BS forum. You know I was never a Yankee hater until I started to post at TGG. I have been here since 04, in my time here I along with every Mets fan has gotten there share from the Yanks, we deserve this moment, however long it lasts.. DO you know that this is the first time since 1988 that the Mets are still playing while the Yanks are not.. That is pretty amazing and a true testament to the run the Yanks have had..

Yeah Vision. It's all good. Like I said, I walked away before I went ballistic again. That's what we all need sometimes, the ability to walk away and just chill out.

Sorry, but between the Yankees and Jets not bothering to show up for games this weekend, I was in a pretty shitty mood.

You can say that again...When BOTH teams don't even bother to show up and get embarassed all over National TV...Horrible weekend sports wise. Both teams outplayed to the max.

If a simple joke about Torre being a security guard makes you go "ballistic"... you should quit the internet.

You were talking to me earlier today before you nearly went "ballistic" and had to walk away from your computer weren't you? Just saying...
