Stupid my ass, you were being an asshole and I called you on it! I see you are not smart enough to understand. Here let me spell it out for you.......... my statement was a general statement about the game and not that specific play. Like I said you are too freaking dumb to understand that...........
I agree with the leg trip thing, when I saw him dive across like that and try to trip the guy I thought "oh fuck, nice one" - what a let off there. I do think the media bias thing is true though.
Last play was a good play. He came across and swatted the ball fair and square. The other plays yes but the last one was just good.
This sentence is funny because Ben Roethlisberger tries to put his penis in girls after they say, "No!"
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-...-yards-awarded-first-down?module=HP_headlines so then bart scott got a pass defense..which would of led to 3&1 and then didnt we sack rothlesberger? so they should of punted... (but of course if it was 3&1 they would of called a different play) point is they scored a td on that drive of bullshit by a free first down.
I was just going to talk about the 100 yard rusher. Manish tweeted yesterday that the actual total should be 98 yards thus keeping our streak alive.
Doesn't mean much? Of course it does. It gave Mendenhall a 100 yard performance, instead of 99 yards, something the Jets hadn't (or should I say haven't?) allowed in a long time.
Would you rather face 1st and 10 or 2nd and 1? At 2nd and 1, you open up the entire play book. U can run, u can QB sneak, you can throw slants, hail mary, naked bootleg etc. I would never challenge that play simply because we now give the Steelers a 'free play' as I would like to call it. I know we would have won that challenge and Im sure Rex' assistants watch the same game and saw what we all saw.
You're smart. If the refs let it go all game, why should they call it now? Wouldn't that be unfair, sir?
Are you talking about the block on Ellis near the sidelines? I saw that too and I jumped in anger for no flag. It wasn't even a push, it was more like a tackle from the back as if Ellis was the ball carrier.
I regret even bumping this thread up again but I just want to state explicitly that the Steelers first touchdown drive (i believe it was the first) was founded on shitty refereeing. Bad officiating is part of the game and it always has been. I think it is under greater scrutiny now considering technology (though sometimes I feel it is just plain shitty as of late). I remember seeing the play, and maybe I am exercising my Jet Fan memory, but the call was something that they had been letting slide all game in some form or another. All that you can seemingly ask of an officiating crew these days is to call a game consistently. That game was called consistently loose through out til the very last play.
The bad non call is part of every game. All you can do it go on from that. That game didn't have many penalties so it's not completely inconsistent with the overall game.
Even if you win a challenge, you can lose an opportunity to challenge later- so maybe it's wiser to challenge calls that are more crucial, such as scoring plays.
