I thought it was a compliment to Sam for spreading the ball around . A rarity for rookie QBs. They tend to find a favorite target and force the ball to them.

Signing bell would be idiotic for this team, we don't have an offensive line which bell needs for his patient style of running. Bell is good in pass pro and is a good receiving back for sure but that's about all he is without an offensive line.

His 4.60 speed is abysmal, his burst score is pathetic and that's all backed up by his insanely low amount of 20 + and 40 plus yard runs. For refrerence saquon has more 40 plus yard runs in one season then bell has in his career.

Then you take into account his injury issues and you have a very clear and easy no sign for any competent GM.

I want him but if he doesn't want to play here/turns out to be the 2019 Kirk Cousins then let him go where he wants.

It's scary to think if they can't get Bell how many mediocre free agents MacCagnan will pay like superstars with $100 million but it is what it is.

And as young as Bell is, it would just reek of a Jet move signing an aging superstar starting to ebb towards the back end of their career (for a RB) and getting diminished production out of him. Art Monk, Steve Atwater, Ronnie Lot, Leonard Marshall, Matt Forte, Jason Taylor, Alan Faneca, I forget the rest.

Who knows, maybe he becomes the next Curtis Martin.

Or maybe the next Thomas Jones.

I get he's only 26 but he has a lot of miles on those legs. Do we get star production for a year, then middling production year 2 then nothing?

What an ignorant post. He may not have the top end speed of a Barkley (few do) but his quickness, cutting ability, and pass catch catching ability make him a Top 3 RB easily and there is no disputing that. The numbers speak for themselves. His running ability also can make their Oline way better than they are but please give him 0 credit. You talk him down like he is some Jag. Pure ignorance at its finest.

I’d say he has a good 3 years left and if this team can’t compete for the playoffs in that timeframe, the issues are far more than we all realize. All those guys listed are guys that were pretty much 30+ and that’s a huge difference from someone in their prime at 27. He just had a year off too so he will be fresh. With addressing the Oline with free agency and the draft and Brady another year older, this team can definitely start competing next year with Bell.

I'm not asking him to be as fast as Barkley but he isn't even close and he can't ever break big runs which is alarming given how good his line is. His cutting is great sure but his quickness is only above average. he is no athletic specimen by any means.

There is a reason the Steelers can plug in random rbs and get the same results as bell, see James Connor and jaylen Samuel put up the same production. The Steelers o line has been a top unit in the league for years and it's made bell look better then he is. Bell is a above average back with very clear visible flaws in his speed and burst. With a bad o line he will have to adjust his style and he will suffer.

I think he is a useful player but he is not worth top 5 rb money since he is not a top 5 rb

We need talent, we have $100million and a cheap ass QB.

Put elite talent on the offensive side of the ball every single way you can.

Happy to pay bell for 3 years and after that go for drafting RB's.

We have money, draft picks and a damn poor offensive roster.

    Load it up!

Good player, but looking at the whole scenario, I think it's a bad fit...
