The Colts would be a problem, why is everyone writing them off after five weeks of play? In a potential rematch, the Colts won't turn the ball over five times and despite his inconsistent play this season, I wouldn't want to see Luck in the playoffs.
Because we match up well against them. Go look at Lucks record vs AFC South opponents and vs Out of division. You won't believe how lopsided the numbers are. I also think Pagano is a horrible coach.
Matching up well against Indy doesn't mean they are not a problem. They still have one of the best Quarterbacks in the league and an improved running game and defensive front. The Colts record against teams outside of the AFC South doesn't matter here; they've shown they can win playoff games before.
He's 3-3 in the playoffs with a 56.5% completion with 9 TDs and 12 INTs. They've been outscored 133 to 179 in those 6 playoff games. How can you say his play vs opponents outside of the AFC South do not matter. He sucks against teams that are not named the Titans, Jaguars, or Texans.
, Seven of those twelve picks came in two games, including one game where he carried his team back from a 31 point deficit. He doesn't "suck" against other teams; is he a little inconsistent yes, but he's consistently carried that team for much of his career and elevated that poor OL and average WRS. The Colts have won three playoff games in the last two seasons, so yes, they have shown they can win in the postseason; the divison knock is silly, especially he since they've won against the better teams in the AFC seversl times. The only team that's given them fits in the postseason has been NE . We beat them once great; but we only won by thirteen forcing five turnovers (not likely to happen again) and scoring a pedistrian twenty points against their cardboard secondary, after Vontae Davis went down. Andrew Luck's not the QB you'd want to see in the playoffs
I will 100% take my chances vs Andrew Luck and the rest of that JAG roster in Indy over Cinci New England and Denver. You are insane if you think otherwise.
It's amazing how few contenders the AFC seems to have for the playoffs. You have Pats, Bengals, Colts, and Broncos, who all look to be locks to win their divisions at this point (especially Denver with their lead and Colts considering the competition). Then you have the Jets and Bills fighting for a spot, and the Steelers, who will probably be a serious threat when Ben returns. The Ravens and Chiefs look to be done. The Chargers are fatally flawed. The Phins and Texans went belly-up early. And I don't see anyone else.
I'd rather face Cincy, to be honest. And with Peyton Manning playing poorly this season(and his health will likely decline come January ) I wouldn't mind Denver well. I think the Bengals are the most talented team, but they have the worst QB OF the group. Andrew Luck's peak games are nearly on par with Rodgers'. Don't know if he would have that kind of game in a rematch, but I don't want any part of him. Regardless, all of these teams are beatable.
Wasn't really impressive against Seattle. He's improved, but he's not as good as his numbers and this isn't the first time he's had a hot streak. Dalton has improved from bad to average.
Lol, what? I do think this is a hot streak, but to say he wasn't impressive against Seattle is ludicrous.
Andy Dalton is in MVP talks right now. He has been sensational. I much rather go against Luck and the rest of the JAGs on that team than Cinci or Denver.
Average? In five games Dalton has thrown for 1500+ yards, 67.5 % pass completion, 11 passing TD's vs 2 INT's and 2 rushing TD's. If that's average, what's good? Shit, at those numbers I wish we had someone "average."
Numbers don't tell the whole story. He's been consistent (for the most part), not amazing. He had several terrible moments against Seattle, where he struggled under pressure or wasn't able to quickly diagnosis the defense. I think his growth has to do more with the re emergence of Gio and Tyler Eifert taking the leap. They're loaded.
Andy Dalton is in MVP talks right now. He has been sensational. I much rather go against Luck and the rest of the JAGs on that team than Cinci or Denver.
That's what happens when people only look at the numbers .
Hahaha! please... tell me how he isnt? Just because his name is Andy Dalton and people think of his previous years. Brady, Rodgers, and Dalton..He is right up there in terms of this years MVP 5 weeks into the season. You sound like a clown. EDIT - Hell, Carson Palmer is right there too
I've watched several of his games; he's solid now, not great. Carson Palmer deserves to be in that conversation and is performing at the level of a top 5 QB. Dalton isn't and I don't care what his stats say/are. He's handled pressure better this season and has been better making adjustments on the fly post snap, but are you just going to ignore the fact that Tyler Eifert is the second best TE in football or the fact that Gio has returned to his original form, adding another dimension to their offense. Those two ,along with improvement from Dalton are the reason why his stats are among the league's best at the moment. If the Bengals are 3-2 or if Mike Nugent misses a FG on Sunday , the narrative around Dalton is completely different. The Bengals becoming a better team doesn't make Dalton a great QB. "Please, don't even mention him in the class of Rodgers,Brady, or Palmer . He hasn't even been close to their level this season. You probably thought Nick Foles was great two years ago too , right?
Then you're just being ignorant and there is no point in having a conversation with you. The numbers are what they are. The Bengals are 5-0 and he deserves to be talked about in MVP considerations through the first 5 weeks. But the Bengals aren't 3-2 and Mike Nugent didn't miss the FG. If my Mom had balls she would be my dad. SO WHAT
I don't watch box scores, I watch games. You clearly don't watch games as your entire argument has been based on numbers, ignoring the talent Dalton has been surrounded with . People were making similar comments when Stafford threw for 40 touchdowns three years ago and when Foles threw 27 touchdowns . Production is not the result of one player, it's the result of the ENTIRE team, which is why a guy like Cam Newton who has made true strides this season has worse stats than a player such a Matt Ryan or Dalton I'll say it again, he hasn't even touched Rodgers's or Brady's play this season and a anyone thinks he has needs their eyes examined . Have a good one.
JUNC, JUNC is that YOU???!??!?!?!?!?!?!?! what would junc say, well my friends he would say this right above. its like de junc vu
