It is unrealistic to think the Patriots are going undefeated this year. This year's team is not even close to the talent level of 2007. They've played only 3 games! I honestly don't know what to make out of the AFC except the Ravens and Colts look like dogshit.
They are going to get caught with that a couple/few times this year. They play bend but don't break with that defense and let the offense outscore folks. They let others settle for FGs all day while they put up TDs and win. That's going to be extremely effective all year but at least a few times this season the defense won't be able to hold up their part of the bargain. The offense might have an off day or commit turnovers, and there will possibly be a game where they don't have the ball last and a team scores last on them and wins. I'll give em 12-4, 13-3 range but no way in hell are they going undefeated and they are far from unbeatable
Yeah 16-0 is just too much to ask. Patriots D is shaky enough to drop a game or two where Brady is off. Hopefully it's against us.

The Pats haven't been challenged yet, lets hold off anointing them. We all know if Brady gets rattled the Pats look mortal. With our 2ndary's coverage skills and our D-line coming like a pack of wild dogs , we are just the team to knock NE off their high horse.
If anybody figures out how to stop or at least slow down brady to gronkowski they will be very mortal indeed as without that they don't have much else. edelman can be doubled to take him out.
Nice reading comprehension. I've never suggested Petty start. Not until game 15 or 16 if we are already out of it. I think Fitz is better than Geno but I've never said he's better than average. He may not even BE average. But he doesn't suck. Yeah, I'm no Fitz nuthugger, he's just the better man for the job. And feel free to have an opinion about who should start but the dudes bithcing and crying and whinng and making excuses for Geno starting aren't facing reality. Because they are Geno nuthuggers. And Kyle Orton was the starter that game after KC picked him up when Denver cut him. For some reason, the KC crowd got real amped for that game too. It was the perfect confluence of events for the huge upset. But GB had been teetering for a while that season because of how dreadful their defense was. Rodgers MVP season masked the larger problems, although everything got exposed in their playoff meltdown against the Giants.

Yeah I started a thread "It's Petty Time!" If you thought that the intent of the thread was to call for him to start then maybe you are as mentally challenged as the dude you try to play yourself as from time to time. I loved the pick and was happy about it but I've always maintained that he is not ready and he needs to sit and I don't want him in meaningful games this year--but yes I'd like to see him take some garbage time snaps to get the feel of the speed of the game and if by chance we're knocked out by game 14 is like to see him get a start in one of the last two games. I also mockingly bumped the thread when Geno got himself knocked out. I also wanted to see him get a lot if snaps in preseason. Read the thread before you assume you know what it said. And btw, because I think Fitz is better than Geno it does not mean (i) that I think Fitz is even really good just that he's adequate and a better option than Geno or (ii) that I think Fitz has a better arm than Geno--clearly his arm is inferior but his football IQ and leadership qualities are much higher making him IMHO the correct QB for this team right now.
