No worries, if this is the way it is then it is the way it is. Bring on the noob. time to get baptised. If he focuses and trusts the system he'll do alright. Good luck Clemens, Get Well Penny.

If Clemens is starting, then he's got my support. I don't know how well he is going to do though, considering he is going after a Ravens defense that is going to be different then the one that showed up against the Chargers.

Whatever though. If this is all true, then I will be cheering for Kellen to do well. I wish Chad a speedy recovery, as I am still more comfortable with him as our QB.

The best 2 defenders on the Ravens are gimpy, if they even play. Not a bad time for Kellen to get in there. Of course, the Pats were missing their best 2 players on defense, and that didn't go so well. But, they did cheat after all...

All I care about is a win this Sunday. That's it, nothing else. Clemens or Chad at QB it doesn't matter. All I want is that 2nd W.

Yes I know we aren't going to get the first one due to the Commish probably giving us multiple draft picks as punishment on the Pats for the first game. But still I will consider this a 2nd W in my heart.

Chad Hurt? Back-Up Starting in Baltimore? Somthing Familiar about this....

This will be a definitive statement about where the Jets were versus where they want to go. In the same situation, Herm put the handcuffs on Bollinger. Let's see if Mangini has faith in his Backup QB.

Yeah I agree, mangini has to let Clemens throw, and there is no doubt in my mind he will. Hell last yr when Ramsey would come in for just one play he would throw it deep down the field.

Or, what is likely to happen, Clemens will come in and dink and dunk the ball all day long because that is the type of offense that is installed. I didn't see RUN & GUN stenciled anywhere in the Jets offense. We aren't the Atlanta Falcons of Maybe... just maybe if the OL gives the QB more than 4 seconds to live or throw he'll manage to chuck a couple of 20-30 yard passes. By keeping Clemens on the leash as everyone is going to blame him for being, the coaches keep a rookie QB taking his first start from overreacting and making needless early mistakes.

Oh, and there are other threads about this already. In before the lock. :)

The Jets have deeper options available on almost every pass play. Chad routinely ignores them for the safe checkdown pass. Go back and watch the last game and see how often there's somebody semi-open or even wide open 10 yards further down the field. You'll be really surprised.

We cannot limp into the Meadowlands against the Dolphins They will be salavating for a win that they may just get if things get anyworse for us. I dont care who starts , we need a win here period! Its going to be a tough game to start with being their home opener and them loosing to the Bengals in the closing seconds. If they start Chad we will see a force feed of running , if thay Start Kellen we will see a mixture of run pass unless they handcuff him into a consevative game plan. We must win!
