Does any1 else but me feel that Schottenheimer and Mangini just arent calling the deep ball and that chad can throw it. I remember numerous times in training camp when he aired the ball out 40 yrds to coles and mccariens.

I knwo its not a cannon but its on point. Maybe they were just trying a decoy throwingthe short ball and this week will open him up when the ravens push 8 in the box or think they can make it a 30 yrd field

i think alot of the reason they dont throw the deep ball is bc that hurry up offense is designed for short passes, get to the line, and go

    Here here!

Chad just makes some mindblowing throws, irregardless of velocity. That first TD pass to Coles in the last game........mindblowing...

I wish the majority of fans rallied around him more...but what can ya do. I've always thought that whenever Chad and Brady meet in a game .. Brady must count his lucky stars that he was drafted by the Pats, b/c if they'd switched teams I have no doubt that barring injury...Penny would have been at least as successful on the Pats as Brady has been...but enough about that.

    Get better soon Chad!

Damn they just ripped the hell out of Jets fans. Wish they would limit that BS to the ones that were in the stadium.

Woody Paige is the biggest flip flopper in the world. The only few that have credit on that show is Michael Smith, J.A., and Mariotti

Well, to be fair he did nothing in the Jaguars game when he came back in, I don't think they attempted any passes more than 8 yards. That was more Herm panicking because the only other option was Bollinger.

Chad was really productive when he came back in on Sunday.

I guess the question will be, will he have any ability to move around at all on Sunday? He doesn't need to be running great, that's not his game, but he needs to be able to have good footwork to move around inside the pocket.

Looks like he isn't playing. On ESPN News they said he won't play and Clemens to start.

go to nj.com, too. Hutchinson has three sources saying it's Clemens under center on Sunday.

Chad Pennington shoots more hoops than C. Everett Koop! <----That's technically true, so I don't want to hear any naysayers. CP is mad tough.

    by Dave Hutchinson
    Wednesday September 12, 2007, 7:14 PM

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Second-year quarterback Kellen Clemens will replace an injured Chad Pennington and make his first NFL start against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, according to three people familiar with the severity of Pennington's right ankle injury and the Jets' plans.

Those people spoke on the condition of anonymity because all official injury information must come from the team.

Not exactly the defense you want to have a rookie making his 1st career start. Yes, I classify Kellen has a rook since he has never started.
