I think they should move Barrett to S. He will eventually so why wait.. IMO his skills translate better to the saftey position the the CB position..

There's a reason that Dyson was let go by both of the two teams that he played for and why there has been such little interest in him over the past 2 offseasons.

Don't get me wrong I'm very glad that we got him but he is not great in coverage and constantly makes risky moves that lead to big plays (either a pick or a huge completion.) Don't expect him to be a worldbeater, and if there is a potential upgrade available next offseason don't be surprised to see the Jets take it.

He wasn't "let go" by the Titans. His rookie contract expired and he became a free agent, the same offseason Tennessee had to cut Samari Rolle, Derrick Mason, Kevin Carter, and Robert Holcome(One more but I cannot think of) so they pretty much had no money at all to keep Dyson, and their was interest to re-sign him, but they couldn't give him what he got in Seattle since they were in complete cap hell.

Seattle cut him to make room for Shaun Alexander's contract...And again, Tennessee and Seattle had interest in re-signing him...Thankfully, he opted with the Jets. He can be a good RCB, but since he'll be our LCB, their will be some problems...Hopefully that potential upgrade can be Miller being LCB, but that's wihsful thinking.

Dyson is the only lock to start. The other side will go to whoever wins the job in ST. The loser becomes the nickleback.

He was cut for salary cap purposes, and both teams that cut him tried to re-sign him this off-season.

Dyson is talented. I have been a big fan of his for the past three years. He isn't the next coming of "insert name here" but he can definitely stick with his man, and get to the ball. He isn't still with Tenn because they couldn't afford him. He was highly prized in last year's market, even by us. He wound up with Seattle, but the whole CBA thing burned him.

As far as kick returner, that's what we picked up Dwight for.

Dyson and Barrett will be the starters for the Tenn game. Anything after that is up in the air. I expect Justin to be the full-timer sometime in mid-October. Remember how much he improved last year after they stopped making him return kicks. Once his confidence started to climb, he played consistently better. He isn't a full-blown star either, but he can be a good corner for us. (Plus he doesn't have Ty Law showing him the art of creating a "chair hammock" in the classroom on Monday morning.)

Miller did pretty well at kickoffs too, he just can't field a freakin punt for some reason. I'm guessin Dwight will do both, but hope Miller gets Kickoff return duty.

Barrett has proven his hands, but what is the deal with 11 yds off the line of scrimage on 1st down; or any down for that matter?

I don't understand why we took Cotchery away from returing kicks. The guy was great.

Justin miller should start, and should be coached up by Mangini since he's so great , Dyson i dont see him being their for more than 2 years, he is only 26 but he's already on his 3rd team, somethings wrong hopefully we can improve at CB and sign or draft somebody 07.Justin Miller is the future and will be great corner if he get experience.

I think Barrett and Dyson will start the season, Miller will take over Barrett's spot sometime during the year though.
