Stafford and Hill can win games, but I don't know about Stanton. I have to see more positive stuff from him.
For the future of the Lions he should not be rushed back. Your team is very competitive but is not going anywhere this year. Let his THROWING shoulder heal. He is your future.... My bad....Mis-read that as He'll and not Hill
If they do shut him down, then I'd bet he gets that shoulder repaired by Dr. Andrews. I don't know that rest alone would be enough.
UGA alum here, and a Stafford fan. It sucks it was us who knocked him out for the season, but he does seam a bit injury prone. This looked like we re-aggravated an old injury, so really The Jets can't be solely to blame. Get well soon, Matty.
damn. that sucks for the lions. kid looks like a good QB, but obviously all these injuries are screwing shit up.
Nah, all the dirty play they got away with yesterday. From late hits on Sanchez and LT to piling on, knee shots, etc. All the after the whistle bullshit that inept ref crew let them get away with. Yeah, it caught up with them in the end bigtime. I'm happy it did and no I ain't apologizing for saying so. I have a feeling the Titans, the other dirty team that the Detroit HC used to be a coach with, they're gonna get theirs too before the season's over.
If Stafford is down, my fantasy team is really on the ropes. Kitna and Henne combined can't replace him.
This was the first game I saw of theirs, so I don't know if it was typical, but there's no question that they played very dirty yesterday. That includes the constant chop blocks - even if they're legal, they're still dirty.
Once a shoulder is already hurt it doesn't take much to reinjure it, as we learned with Chad. That fall probably doesn't hurt a 100% shoulder that much but he's already had issues with it.
He did kinda show the Jets chasing him the ball and then talked shit at the Jets while running through the end zone on that TD scramble.....so I had no prob watching him go off, considering it was an OK tackle and not dirty or anything.
I never like to see guys get hurt, I want to beat them on the field. That goes for anyone, even Brady when he did the knee or Marino's achilles back in the day.
If these are the kinda hits that are gonna injure him than he'll never be a great QB. It's still early so it's entirely possible that he's just unlucky but so far it doesn't look good for him.
