I'm guessing the Ted Kennedy Bridge was already taken?

I live in a house full of 49er season ticket holders and it is still called the "stick" or candle stick. nothing else.

The difference is our place is new and hasn't had an old name for people to stick with. I'm sure a lot of people will still call it "Giants Stadium" until they get a name, obviously not Jet fans.

I'm very surprised they don't have a corp spon yet. 2 marquee teams in the NYC area? They must be angling for a $50+ million rights deal.

Like I said, I've read that they're asking too much money. Imagine that. There's a nationally televised game two weeks from tonight, you'd think they wanted it sold by now. At some point they are going to realize that getting nothing at all is worse than getting less then what they think it is worth. For the naming rights, PSLs, tickets, etc. Blowing through a 10-year season ticket waiting list or whatever it was didn't clue them in, maybe this will. Maybe an empty downstairs for a good team in a brand new stadium will--that's what woke the Yankees up.

I figured it out! Revis is demanding so much money so he can buy the naming rights. Darrelle Revis Park.

We'd all call it the Island.

put a clause in the Revis contract to name the stadium after him. that should surpass nnmadi's contract.

Don't forget we're getting the super bowl too. They have to get this done soon. I have read there are offers, but nothing has been disclosed.
