Its interesting how everyone has so little faith in our organization until its suggested their annoited savior might not have faith in our organization either. Then their like, "what do you mean - were gonna be great!" ;)

Yup, and no one in their right mind would blame him. That’s my point… Everyone wants to write this article off as insanity but it makes perfect sense and it’s completely justified.

I truly believe the 2021 Jets will take a big step forward either with Darnold or Lawrence. They will upgrade the entire coaching staff (because you can't get worse), they have cap space to sign a key player or two or three. Mosley will be back. They will have 3 picks in the first 35ish spots in the draft. Either using 1 on Lawrence and trading Sam for a pick or using a top pick to build around Sam. The next ten games will be brutal, but there really are reasons to be optimistic right around the corner!

  4. If the team truly is enamored w Lawrence it could be the thing that pushes Gase out the door. Have a hard time seeing him agree to play under him considering the track record.Im not convinced ownership will fire Gase.Hes good at making excuses & there are plenty to make w this mess.

Yeah, similar to Rex in 2014, a change needs to happen no matter what. Woody Johnson never wanted to fire Rex. I truly believe that. It just had to be done after another pathetic season. That's life. I feel similar here with Christopher Johnson and Gase. I don't know why, but Johnson really loves Gase. Clearly, or he would have been fired a long time ago. When he does fire him, it will be reluctant and he really won't want to do it, but have no choice.

  6. The Johnsons dont like firing head coaches. The only one they were ever quick triggered w was Mangini.Mangini had become quite unpleasant during the 2008 meltdown & did things like having his coaches come in for meetings at 3 AM to rip them after games. Every other HC during their downfall couldve been fired sooner than they were. Is it stubborness? Laziness? Being cheap? Knowing theyll screw up the replacement? Who knows.

There’s no way Gase survives this. Maybe he gets the entire season, but no chance he’s back. Now, screwing up the next guy? That I can def see, but to be fair to the brothers Johnson, I don’t know who the home run candidate is.
