Why do you feel sorry for him? He wasn't traded. He can sign with whomever he chooses, Jets included.

He bitched about his contract last year and made it clear he had an issue with the money. This year, it was Tanny's turn.

Would like to see TJ back, but the reduced price makes sense.

yeah but if he looks at the bright side, detroit could pay him $2,500,000.
he buys a 4 bedroom house and still has $2,499,000

TJ's going to learn that he should have swallowed his pride. In KC/Det he'll get the ball and have guys in his face. His runs this year were manufactured by that outstanding blocking.

Would love to have him back though for Leadership.

I heard that too. Signing him wouldn't make sense for them. I'm guessing they are forgetting Jamaal Charles is a friggin' beast. That guy won me my fantasy league this past season. I can't see him signing with a shitty squad like them and then possibly being the back-up.

Everyone is going with RBBC. They want someone to spell Charles.

If he wants to win TJ will be back. Why would you sign with the Cheifs//Lions? Wouldn't you want to win it all!

More $$$$ with which to retire than the Jets would have given him. That's all.

Thomas Jones should only be a Jet, this coming season. I hope the Jets re-sign him, but I doubt he wants to be a Jet afte the way he was treated. This team does not know the meaning of loyalty, with regard to its players.

Loyalty never got you to a Superbowl. It's a business, not a circle jerk around the fire while singing kumbaya.

He's only been a Jet for 3 seasons. Why the Hell is everyone treating him like Curtis Martin?

Loyalty for what? What do the Jets owe him?

It is not like he was a superstar originally drafted by them.

The Jets paid him a lot of money and do not feel he is worth more.

The way he was treated? If that is the case, these guys are bigger babies than I thought. It's all about the money. Period.

If he signs with either a KC or Detroit team than it really is all about the money for TJ. For obvious reasons, it's not about winning or quite possibly starting.

Was there ever a question that it was all about the money? That was what he was bitching about last offseason during the holdout. It's likely the only reason that Woodhead made it to last cuts.

Because he was good last year, I mean look at the yards and TD's! Ignore that down the stretch run he sucked. Oh and in the playoffs he sucked. I mean he was injured! Poor guy. ... and he durable! So what if he's getting older he's never hurt!

...... so in other words its because fans can be silly stupid when they love a player.

The only problem with that is when he sold it he'd have to pay somebody to take it off his hands.

It is all about the money and I've got no problem with that. Jones has been in the league a long time and he has earned the right to make that decision. It's not like we are talking about a 1st rounder refusing to sign because his agent feels he's being lowballed.

If he comes back it will be nice because I have worries about Greene but I do think we'll draft another between the tackles guy to spell Greene and give Leon some chances as well.

Your right and the Jets gave TJ what he wanted a chance to find the most money he can get. At this point in his career TJ is looking for retirement money and if he finds it good for him! I like him as a Jet but it is a business and he needs to do what is best for him and his family!
