I have a hard time believing that the Pats would want the 3rd overall pick...especially in a pre-draft day trade...b/c Curry would be the only player the Pats could possibly want and he might not even be there it would take a pick in the middle of the fist round paired with a few others or future picks...KC would have to trade down on draft day b/c no one wants to the burden of picking early until the player is still on the board when KC is on the clock...and i still don't see a player emerging to tempt a team to move up for KC's pick I think KC should/will stick with Thigpen...
http://blogs.nbcsports.com/home/archives/tom_curran/ Found this posted on another website. According to Tom Curran the number 3 pick is not part of the deal. I believe Peter King has reported this as well.
I'm pretty sure the Chiefs sent their 2nd round pick to the Pats (34th overall). This now gives the Pats 3 2nd round picks, and also the 23rd pick in the first round. They are in position to give up their first round pick and perhaps a second to Carolina for Peppers. They now have the cap room...this could be scary if it happens.
