No, I actually nailed your reasoning. If you typed it wrong, then that's on you. But you clearly bring up the QB needy Jets and they'd have to jump in front of them. The point is that they are QB needy, and in 99% of those cases, you would want to leap in front of that team to take the QB. The difference here is that the Eagles are offering up an NFL starting caliber QB on a silver platter in the deal. So in actuality, the ONLY teams worth talking to if the rumors are true ARE teams like the Jets. All could be moot, because they may have to have these talks with Tennessee (another QB needy team), or they might want to keep Foles for another year as a placeholder and so the Titans and Jets would be good fits. But I don't believe that to be the case, so yes, to get Mariota, I would think the Titans and Jets would be the first teams they'd talk to. Titans first, and the Jets on draft day if he's falling.
I don't think Foles is that good. If I'm the Jets GM and the Eagles called to inquire about trading up for the #6 pick and mentioned Foles, I'd probably laugh then hang up.
Lord knows I agree with you, but I have a nagging feeling the Jets would bite on Foles/draft picks package.
That would be stupid..just look at how the last nineteen draft picks worked out under Idzik and this guy has no more experience than he did. On top of that he fired all the scouts so what does he base his decisions on, something old and out of date?
LOL. so you think he hired guys that haven't been watching college football? How "old and out of date" can info on kids that have been playing college ball for a few years be?
This is the same metro asshole who said that the Jets will be trading the #6th pick to the Eagles, per his sources
