    Here's a WTF? article...... found on excite.com

Pigskin pickin' camel says Pats will top Jets

    By WAYNE PARRY

LACEY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Despite Brett Favre and a three-game winning streak, the New York Jets don't have what it takes to finally get over the hump and pass the New England Patriots atop the AFC East. That's according to a pigskin-picking camel named Princess who is a perfect 10-0 so far this year in handicapping NFL games.

She also rightly predicted that the Pats would fall to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl last February.

"If I was a gambling man, I'd look to Princess before I placed a bet," said John Bergmann, general manager of Popcorn Park Zoo, where the 2,600-pound Bactrian camel has lived since 2004.

The camel, who once belonged to heiress Doris Duke, has a simple way of predicting the outcome of games.

Bergmann will choose a game at random, place a graham cracker in each hand, and use a permanent marker to scrawl the name of a competing team on each hand.

Whichever hand Princess nibbles from is her "pick" for that week.

Last season, Princess went 11-6, a .647 winning percentage. (Since she never quite got the hang of points spreads, Princess picks the games straight-up, just choosing the winner.)

So far this year, she hasn't been wrong once. Jets fans can only hope she is this time.

The Jets and Patriots are tied for first place at 6-3, and play Thursday at 8 p.m. in Foxboro, Mass.

If the camel says we're gonna lose who's to question it?

Going to the local Pats bar to watch the game, oh yeah!:pats_suck:

The Rams gave up after the Calvin Pace touchdown. After that it was a friendly game in the backyard on Thanksgiving. The Jets are coming in with a more talented team and they are fresher. If we don't win its on Mangini's head.

....with the magnitude of this game your opinion means one of two things...

    1) Your a miserable human being
    2) You secretly hate the Jets

Our rushing D is light years better than in years past. The pats running game is not nearly the threat it used to be. Our pass D and pass rush is light years better as well, and they are throwing Matt Cassel out there. Wait till we shut down their run and knock the crap out of him a few times.

Our D will be ballhawking. Our O will get the needed points, we'll control the game and win by at least 10.

Good analysis, for a 14 year old. Over 40 years, every time I have begun to get a glimmer of good feeling about this team, they have broken my heart again and again (the worst being 1998, when you were 4) and I see this as just one more time when you think the corner will be turned and they crush your hopes again. Hopefully, I won't get to say I told you so, but my experience as a fan of this team tells me different.

in the rain tonight (probably) i think the J-E-T-S have a great chance to not only win but to show up and dominate... our defense has been creating turnovers the past few weeks and i think if they play well then we can own matt kassel and run the ball right down their throats....

    LETS GO MENNNNNNNN

You know what, I think you are on to something there, because I see myself and my love/hate relationship with this team in what you say. And I don't give a crap about getting a high draft pick - I want a Super Bowl Championship before I shuffle off this mortal coil! (That means die, for the 14 and under posters here)

It really must suck to be an older Jets fan...oh well...glad I'm not old then lol.

No disrespect guys...it's obvious you guys had it bad...I just don't get the defeated outlook simply because of a rough past...

Every time I head for the light , someone has to drag me back to the darkside...I actually felt pretty good going in tonight but the original post did throw a scare into me.

All things being equal, if it comes down to coaching, we just might be screwed. (As I slide back down the mud pit into the darkside).

    Damn you, wahoo !

Wow ! I'm glad that there is now a name for our condition. Maybe we should start a support group for those of us who can actually remember SBIII.

As for your stated cure, desirable as it may be, might it not be too great of a shock to the systems of us old timers, resulting in an early yet giddy demise ?
