Did anybody learn anything from last year?? Since when does a loss in October mean the season is over or that the team is terrible?
Yeah...But what I was trying to get at is look at the whole picture. They have responded quite well and are playing as the best team in the NFC.
You are talking to Jets fans while the sky is falling? You better run for cover dude you may get hit.
282 total yards a pick 2 sacks and 10 points against the Ravens, not even close ? 291 total yards 2 picks 3 sacks and 14 points against the Pats, not even close ? 223 total yards 3 sacks and 14 points against the Bills, not even close ? I'm assuming you are implying Joe Flacco and Tom Brady are not very good NFL QBs? Our defense played the best it has played all season, but to say that they have not played close to this level so far this year is lunacy. I'm not by any means trying to say the sky is falling and the Jets will never win another game bla bla bla... but in a conference where another performance like this will put us in 8th place, it's not insane to be worried partially. The AFC is bonkers this season and in games where you give up 9 points, YOU HAVE TO WIN!
The only positive is that this shitfest of a game is over. Every team lays a turd once in a while, this was ours. That was one horrible game to watch though. Did we even make it into the red zone at all? Today went about as horribly as it could have. Jets defense was solid. Can't blame a thing on them. Hats off to the Packers, they outplayed the Jets despite being banged up all to hell. The few missed calls didn't make the difference here. The Jets just sucked on offense. Suddenly we can't run when it matters on teams with a shitty run defense. On to next week. The Lions aren't a gimme anymore. The offense had better step up.

The defense gave up 3 points. The other 2 were from the missed fake punt and non conversion on 4th down.
WSW is right...the defense looked pretty damn good....and with Revis back to full strength...the Jets will be in a position to win games. Here's another positive...the Walking Dead starts tonight @ 10pm EST on the AMC channel.
It was an awful ugly loss BUT I think if we look at it glass half full, we'll realize that A) it's a non-conference game, B) our defense finally started to play at the level we all knew it was capable of, and C) it was against a really solid team, whose defense had a really good game. It definitely is worrying though that we beat them on most levels on offense, while penalties and turnovers fucked us, but the sky is not yet falling.
its the same old story this defense is playoff caliber this offense is fucking around and holding us back. they better get their shit together. rex should have these recievers out catching balls from the pitching machine until their hands bleed.
How about some positives from the game...were there any? (rhetorical) The line looked good (offense and defense) other than a couple of penalties. GB run game went nowhere. Once they stopped having coleman cover jennings, their offense went nowhere. (no idea why the f%$# we went back to coleman covering him but i digress...) Sanchez moved well and kept plays alive. Special teams were decent other than the missed field goal. Defense held GB to three FG's and field position gave most of that to them. It's not the end of the world. Hopefully it's a wake up call. Better to get embarrassed now and learn from it than to shit the bed in the playoffs. Odds and ends: -Weatherford is actually kind of fast. -it seemed woody handled matthews fairly well...can't tell how much help he had though. -lowery looked good again
1. It's over 2. We play the Lions and Browns next 3. My fanvision worked great in the new stadium and provided full coverage of other games being played, replay and replay angles and everything it was advertised to do. My seats are on the sunny side and the sun had little effect on the picture too
You are right, they could have made the difference I guess. I guess my point is that they shouldn't have mattered. The WRs dropped enough passes that would have otherwise likely gotten us the points to win even with the bad calls. The Jets should have won despite the penalties.
