it's the opposite actually. It's more like you get a broken window in your house and say fuck it the whole house is shit, burn it down and build a new one
The D was awesome for 2 1/2 quarters vs Buffalo. They haven't been anything special since Buffalo started handing off to their rookie RB. Overall they've been very disappointing. IMO
I've calmed down quite a bit during the bye week. I'm still angry about the tease they gave us against Buffalo, the way this season has gone since then but much less so. I'm more open to giving Gase a little bit more time to start winning here. If he gets Darnold, Williams, Mosley all the guns back after the bye week I wanna see a win in Philadelphia. No excuses.
This team has talent. NO ONE came into this season expecting the Jets to be battling for a #1 overall pick, looking as helpless as they did against Cleveland & New England. NO ONE. How is it that teams are stacking the box against Bell like the Jets have nothing to hurt them with while the Jets have one of the game's elite deep threats in Robby Anderson? That's on Gase.
Good o-lines are expensive. Figure you should have 5 starters making $10m+, and 3 good backups making in the $6m range. That adds up to $68m+ of your cap going to defend against the other teams one good pass rusher making $15m. While the Jets were blowing 1st round pics on the dline, Dallas was doing the same on the oline. Dallas had the best oline in football for 4-5 years. Zac and Ezekiel prospered, but at the end of the day Dallas didn't do shit. Why? Their dline sucked. Cant win for losing! So put away the talk of a probowl this or a probowl that, and work for 5 decent studs across both lines.
