Who said SB bound? Guys, stop reading too far into the future. It is a week to week thing. You have to deal with what is on your plate for the week ahead. Once you beat that team (we hope) you celebrate a day or so and move on to the next task at hand. When the season winds down, you see where you stand. All I want is to pile up wins. I don't care who we beat.
ya so we won! u think we'll win against a better team if we play like that? obviously not and that's what we're worried about... we looked like shit and there's no reason to think we won't play like the past 3 weeks against buffalo, in which case we are already pissed about losing
Point taken. Right now I just want to see solid football and a complete minimization of costly errors on our part. We are currently reverting and it is scary. I also do not think the coaching staff has done a good job. Mangini should be on fire right now and scream some life into this team and the coaching. Playoffs; let's get there first; right now it is very hard for me to convince myself even though we technically play the Bills and if we win that game we are tied for the division lead. Let's stop the excuses and go up there and play like we did against Pittsburgh last year - that's what we need. Let the writers write all they want if we win and they say that Buffalo isn't that good; it has always been a tough game for 2 games for us every year. They are good and we should be laser focused right now.
one good thing about being on the edge of our seats, screaming at the tv, but still winning is it's exciting football. i hate bandwagon jumpers with their shinny new hats strutting around like they belong. with us being 4-3 with some exciting games, at least we know every 'hat' in the bar is a true jet fan. i feel sorry for the 'true' pats and g-girls fans because 9 out of 10 hats walking around with 'we are the champions' have never even watched a game.
I have to say that I have been shocked at the level of negativity on this board since Sunday. I for one was smiling with Joy when Favre hit Coles on the stop-fade route. I'm not saying that there isn't legitimate reason to be concerned or to complain about certain aspects of the team's performance (Brett Favre's alarming pattern of game-changing interceptions being the main thing), however, it's too hard being a Jet fan to not enjoy the wins whenever and HOWEVER they come.
I think last weekend was the only time in my history of being a fan that I did not feel good about the win. If it weren't for Herm's stupidity and Leon Washington's total commitment we would have lost by at least 7 to 10 points.
A W is still a W no matter how you get it. I did celebrate the victory. I did cuss about Favre and his pics. I did call my buddy that is a Chiefs fan and give him tons of shit (and a JETS hat to wear all week). But come Tuesday morning I look towards the next game and know that if we play the way we have in the past couple of weeks, our chances aren't good. This CS has got no clue when it comes to putting together a game plan. They pass on 3rd and short and run on 2nd and 20. I will take the win when ever I can get it, but I still know it is my right as a fan to bitch about the stupid shit my team seems to do.
