i still dont understand where everyone is getting this lowery is going to be a fs on this team? i havent seen anything from anyone even nfl related that even suggests that.

the only people saying it are on this site.

poteat does give them some safety, he is definitely a servicable db, he will add to the team. miller has questions, lowery has many questions, barrett is pretty well known but what we know creates questions.

I think it's because everyone is afraid of his supposed speed, and the fact that he has the size / awareness to play safety means he might translate well to one. There is no factual evidence that this will actually happen.

Out of all of them I am rooting for Miller.. because if he does get his act together and plays good defensive football he can contribute for years if we give him a reasonable extension... and hopefully he is not just a contract year player

    Regarding Lowery's lack of speed:

Quote: "Kentucky Jet posted: ...I was there at the Pro Day, as was Aaron Thigpenn, as was Dwight's Agent, Frank Bower. I had Dwight clocked at 4.42 and Aaron had him clocked at 4.43. Are you aware of how it works at the Pro Day? It was quite comical. A joke, really. There were about 13 or 15 "official" people from the various teams who were there, all with stopwatches and timing the athletes in the forty times. Of the times
that were taken, the lowest I heard was 4.36 for Dwight and the highest I heard was 5.86 (both from timers there on behalf of NFL teams). The times were all over the place. There was no consistency...."

We have a gaping hole at #2 corner. I'm surprised the front office hasn't taken more drastic measures to address this, especially with the Patriots - Brady to Moss, Welker, Ben Watson, etc. - in our division.

We need to make a move to upgrade the position unless Andre Woolfolk suddenly becomes James Hasty in the pre-season.

p.s. - Does anyone remember a Safety named R.J. Kors from the Coslet years? I'll always remember this one play where Joe Namath called out a hit Kors laid on some guy, only because it was week 16, and the win put us in the playoffs with an 8-8 record.
