SOJ in that, yet again, they've bent me over, buttered me up, and made me squeal like a pig. . . . . . . except, different this time. This time, it seemed a little more loving.
The defense let up 9 points yesterday and limited the Dolphins offense to 104 total yards, a team that has the 2nd best running attack in the league. You can hate on a lot of things, but to think that the Jets defense will stop a team on every drive is just ridiculous. The defense got the offense the ball back with 3-4 minutes left in GREAT field position, and the offense couldn't get the job done. Say, for example, the Dolphins scored a FG on the opening possession of the game, but the Jets defense goes on to shut them out for the rest of the game. However, the Jets offense can't get anything going and can't put up a score and the Jets lose 3-0. By the logic you used in this thread, the defense would be at fault for this game because they let up the winning drive.
