I wish our old, annoying fans would be dead and buried(not literally but from watching football).

Sorry if we had such a "tallented" team as you allege we would be winners

Get off your fucking high horse. Scott does not play special teams, that allowed 14 points, and he was not on the field when Taylor returned the fumble for a TD. The Dolphins had 9 points, 9 total points and a little over 100 yards on offense. And they won. That is on those three plays.

Quitters, such as yourself based on your losing posts, never will win. You have given up, and could not wait to spew your lame posts once the Jets lost. Congrats and wallow in misery.

I feel your pain in principle, believe me I do. But what more could Bart Scott have done to prevent that loss? We lost because of fuck ups on special teams and offense, two aspects of the game Scott has 0 to do with. And his sentiment is correct. Yes, Miami beat us but they do suck.

I say the SOJ are dead

Yeah, we did find a way to lose this game and the Bills games when we should have won them both ... But this team isn't giving up, they are playing hard ... The "D" was absolutely dominating and you say we gave up a 3rd and 10 run to Ricky ... YUP that was about all they gave up for the game, 102 total net yds ...

I like what I am seeing from the team, I am NOT happy with a few of the outcomes, BUT if we learn from them and continue to improve, we can be a force, we may or may not make the playoffs this year, but I don't think too many people had us penciled in for a playoff run this year ... We are moving in the right direction ...

Tough loss. A heart breaker for sure. Unlike the Bills game which was the worst game I have ever seen and the worst QB play I have ever seen.

This game was a great display of what the future of this team is. The team minus the ST play and the poor decisions regarding two point conversions in the middle of the 3rd quarter was very good.

I am excited about NEXT YEAR AND BEYOND. I am concerned with the items mentioned above.

I do believe Sanchez is improving. Should have thrown the ball to TJ in the middle rather than run the ball on that one play (in the 3rd?) Threw the ball into the dirt a few times (sort of looked scared?) However, he did not turn the ball over, threw a few really beautiful passes, and I believe he is the future and it will be a positive one.

This game showed us once again what we can be. It did also show us what we have been--a team unable to play a complete game.

So, we need to work on a few things, keep the energy up, keep the rookie intact and move on to the future.

    GO JETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2-10-NYJ 10 (9:20) #6 White in at QB. R.Brown right end to NYJ 5 for 5 yards (D.Lowery, D.Harris).
PENALTY on NYJ, Defensive 12 On-field, 5 yards, enforced at NYJ 10 - No Play.
    2-5-NYJ 5 (8:53) C.Henne pass short right to J.Haynos for 5 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

That was the winning score. It was not scored against ST, or the O. It was the first possession by Miami's O after the Jets took the 6-3 lead. It was after the Jets were still behind, having brought the score to 24-19.

I agree the D played well enough to win on a normal day, but Miami converted crucial third downs on that drive, and was helped big time by the stupid 12 men on the field call. Nobody saw that?!?

The Defense did not lose this game.

That was a crucial drive, but they can't be perfect. Allowing 104 yards, 52 yards rushing to the leagues #2 rush offense is a dominating performance.

Put the blame on whoever you want but 1 drive does not make a game.

They would not have been anywhere near us if not for ST's and Shonn Greene.

First game Shonn starts at the change of pace back and we missed Leon immediately.

Miami has beaten the Jets three times in a row. Arguing they suck makes you feel better? What kind of team are the Jets that they lose games like this to a team that is 1-4 against the rest of their schedule?

The Jets meanwhile have gone 1-4 the last five games. Despite signing Edwards. That's who the Jets are right now. Do the Jets suck, too?

Was Scott on the field when the Jets let the Miami O march down the field to score their last TD?

The Jets almost certainly will not play Miami again this year. So we have to wait a whole year until the Jets get a chance to beat them. I hate Miami. There are no excuses, no silver linings, no justifications, no "yes, buts..."

Nobody I can think of currently associated with this team was around when SOJ started. Ryan and others are not the first ones to come here and say SOJ is dead. Well, I don't think it's their place to say so until they PROVE OTHERWISE.

So far, they have not done so. All they have really done is find new ways to lose, and on top of that, unlike what we had started getting used to since Kotite left, an ability to at least usually beat Miami, we can't fall back on that either. Now it increasingly looks like the Jets benefitted from poor coaching and management in Miami starting with Johnson, through Wanny, and Saban, with guys like Fiedler trying to fill Marino's shoes. They're a different team now, and while they may still suck against the rest of the league, they have found a way, or different ways, to beat the Jets.

I think the Jets have some great players, but today is not the day to talk about them. I don't have much use for players, coaches, cheerleaders, owners, ball boys, anyone associated with this team if they can't beat Miami.

I don't really want to argue with anybody about this. It's not the point. I just don't get how anybody thinks there is ANYTHING good to say after yesterday.

Champ is just seeing the pattern of previous Jets years from a big picture standpoint. For years I got used to one out of the 3 phases of a football game - offense, defense and special teams - of totally shitting the bed and losing the game for us.

I doubt anyone of us would have gone into that game yesterday thinking that Special Teams was the Achilles heel in that game. The attack lanes that the Jets set on the first Ginn TD return were terrible and everybody's hero Danny Woodhead would let the his corner of the return coverage collapse and give Ginn a clear look up that sideline, but it was pretty much bad coverage on the left side of the field.

On the second one, it was simply lack of execution. They took bad angles and made bad tackling attempts and then reacted to him instead of attacking him.

The Shonn Greene fumble was pretty frustrating, he has previously been known for ball security, I hope it was a rookie mistake and not the beginning of a pattern.

Sanchez kind of looks like he has regressed, He threw a fair amount of balls directly into the ground instead of giving them an easy ball on an intermediate pass. In the end, the receivers were able to make the best of a not that great pass for 2 passing touchdowns. I like what he is able to do on his feet, and I think that if he can gets it right again in the passing game, he may come out of the bye looking a lot more poised. He made some excellent passes against the Phins in the first meeting.

I don't believe in the SOJs. I believe that teams may sit on their ass for decades without any true effort to break the pattern until 1997. Woody looked like he was going to fall into that pattern until he abruptly canned Mangini and hired his polar opposite personality with Ryan. I think Rex will be a do or die type of coach statistically, a lighting in a bottle type and we have to hope we caught him at the right time. Last season they broke the pattern by cutting loose the face of the franchise in Pennington, who statistically was still starting caliber and a great leader of men to boot - and replaced him with one of the most polarizing faces the league for the past decade and a half. More lightning in a bottle.

But if they are just trying to hit the jackpot, not to really build a serious decade-long contender, then the SOJFs will have plenty to complain about probably every other year.

What will be the excuse after them losing after the bye week?
I just don't understand why we kept on kicking the ball down the center of the field.

The teams were tied at the half. The third period hardly saw the Jet D on the field until they gave up Miami's winning score. Stats can mislead. The fish didn't need to run up yards against the Jet D to score 21 of their points.

I saw the game. I saw the D make some great plays. Ellis, Pace, some of the bench guys who stepped up, good for them.

But it was the D who, when Miami's O took the field trying to pad their score, let them march down the field for the winning margin. What else can one really say?

You have your view and I have mine, I'm not going back and forth on this all day. Yes the defenses goal is stop the offense every time. Shutouts are hard to come by in this league.

I'm impressed with this team and when we do get it all working together it will be a well oiled mature Super Bowl contending team. I'm not saying this year but this current regime of players + Rex has me very hopeful and I'll continue to be hopeful.

The first kickoff return was a horrible kick by Feely, it was a line drive directly to Teddy, right when the ball flew like that I had a bad feeling.

By the way, I predicted we'd be a .500 team. Rookie QB and rookie HC. Rex needs to take his losses as a man instead of pissing and moaning to the press, because they will eat him alive with some of these post-game pressers he's having.

Same Old Jets fans, that's for sure. I wonder why some of you guys even watch football, when it seems to just be an exercise in waiting for disaster and then reveling in it.
