Today is Finlands most important football (soccer) match in our history, if we win tonight we qualify to our first ever major tournament, European Championship. I'm no fan of the premier league as you know, but I'll have a look and see what I come up with. I'm off to Salford tomorrow to see if Swindon can reclaim their record as being the only team to have beaten the other 91 professional teams in England in competitive matches. The only reason we've only got 90 on our record is we haven't played Salford before.

When Litmanen played, we had what they called a golden generation, Hyypiä was in his prime, Niemi in goal and Forssell was banging in goals. Maybe the problem back then was, we didn't have enough good players around those guys to perform consistently. We had some excellent games followed up by disastrous ones. It's really a shame that Litmanen never had a chance to show his talents on the biggest stage, he is arguably one of the best players ever not to play in a major tournament along the likes of Giggs for Wales.
