My guess is Purdy will be QB1 and Lance will be QB2.

I have no idea what ZW takes or doesn't take ...I was just giving an Opinion based on his impulsivity poor focus and organizational skills. Plus I think NC Jets said he had ADD

Medical Record information is HIPPAA protected and Wilson would have to sign a Release to let anyone else know his medical history

Only Jets medical staff might have access if he has to list all medication on employment contract for example

The Jets should hire the best QB guru in the business. Someone HOF QBs credit for helping their careers. Someone who can teach a raw qb the basics and a good qb how to be great.

Knowing our luck, even if we find the right guy, something unexpected will happen running over the best laid plans.

". Wilson has ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), like some others in his family, and it created challenges in the college classroom, but it has no effect on his ability to absorb football concepts, according to people close to him."

Good job finding that out! But its obviously covering up his learning ability and "excusing" understanding football concepts
That take is total Bullsh*T...your Learning Disability affects everything

The 49ers had no clue about Purdy. If they did they would have drafted him a lot earlier and not let any other team get him. Some organizations just continue to get lucky.

"Luck is the residue of design." - Branch Rickey.

Some organizations know how to identify talent and develop it, critically. QB talent. When a team continues to hire DCs as HC they're likely not going to be able to id and develop QBs. Is it really surprising then that the Jets have failed to do so?

Maybe, but maybe, regardless of his ability to focus, he never would have had the speed to react at an NFL level of quickness to make a difference. Other than having had a sibling with pretty strong ADHD, I'm no expert.

Reading the whole article really looks like Douglas and company found the guy first and then proved he was the right guy while better "suspects" may well have existed. Also surprising is the input from LaFleur, Calabrese and Beck into making the decision - guys who worked with him last year but seemed to fade away in 2022.

Why is it that a number of other teams seem to be able to find "hidden gems" as QBs, whether as 1st round picks or the last player taken in the draft, while the Jets haven't been able to find a QB that's at least average - in the top 15 range - in decades? Seriously. Why haven't they been able to do this?

Keeping in mind that selecting a QB with the right skills and physical traits is only half the battle - you then need to be able to develop him. Where are the Jets failing in this regard? Is it that they can't identify good QBs? Or is it because even when they do pick one with potential they don't know how to unlock that potential? Or both?

If I were Woody, I would hire someone who really knows what to look for in an NFL QB - let's say Kurt Warner as an example - and have him advise Douglas on who to get and then how to get him to become a successful NFL QB.

They can’t develop. The looking part is fine. The problem is when they get in the Jets care.

Yeah pretty much. Drafted a kid who had a good amount of experience in college, and was drafted in the right offensive scheme which he was able to pick up. I'm sure they've dumbed it down a bit for him and are gonna feed him little by little as he progresses. Funny MLF came from that same offense and has no fucking clue at all. How ironic.

I still have faith in Mike White, so what the kid had 1 bad game this year with probally a bad injury shit happens, Like Mahomes and Josh Allen or any other good qb never had bad games.

Not comparing no one to no one but he was solid before the Seattle game, Jets will never develop a Mahomes or Allen and team's will never let them go, so if we have a Avg Qb playing for the next couple years its way better than the turds we had for the last 10 years.

The Jets need to hire a qualified Offensive guy as the HC and let him get his QB to the run his offense. Let the new HC live or die with his selection at QB, not the one he inherited.

The Jets need to hire a coach who they can give the keys to every decision to, not some smug who is a puppet like Saleh. Hire Peyton or someone with alot of experience. Give him the reigns to the Franchise and have the Johnsons stay out of it. Until than they will always be the laughing stock of the league. Last person who they gave that to was Bill Parcells and he built a good team.

Douglas whiffed big time since he oversaw this all....nothing was "proved to be right". I am done with Joe Douglas ..The OL poor choice of Head Coach and no QB >>>all fireable offenses imo

Look at our cross town rivals: Once again the Giant Management and Ownership made all the right decisions
