Just as a reminder: Shaquil Barrett had 3 sacks with Broncos before switching to Bucs where he exploded Not saying we can replicate that, but hoping JD can find a guy that fits our system and similarly benefits (again not expecting 19.5 sacks). no reason to pay clowney a ton of money hoping he lives up to that (while simultaneously knowing deep down inside he has never lived up to that) the fact that we suck at the edge and have ignored it, does not mean we need to mortgage our team and its flexibility to improve that area. It's still a team sport; better coverage will yield more sacks too (and vice versa -- better pressure yields better coverage)
I sure wish I knew what the selling point was for both Bowles and Maccagnan? Both had the personality of grass growing and their philosophy on all things football sucked really bad.
