So you also believe the Heisman Trophy should go to the best player on only a top ten College team? The best DPOTY, should NOT be limited because of what shitty team drafted you or an offense that can't score a TD. It may happen your way a lot, but it is wrong.
I just believe that awards like DPOTY and OPOTY belong on the teams that did best defensively and offensively in a given year. Top 5 or so is where the cutoff should be, and only very rarely does a team top 5 in one or the other and not make the playoffs as well. DPOTY is like a team award that goes to the best player on a great defense. Having it go to somebody like Jared Allen or Jason Babin is a joke because the units they were on just weren't all that good.
