As of today the trade on March 17th looks good for us. Now lets see how the next few years work out. Hearing and reading about Darnold now. McCown and Bridgewater need to play until mid-November. If Darnold looks great 6 games would be perfect this year. 8 games at most. Give him time. Let him learn from the vets. I want to see him this year but don't rush him.
This....we also have no idea who the colts were in talks with at the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm hoping Darnold gets the #6 jersey (currently available) so I can just replace the name tape from Sanchez to Darnold. That would be sweet.
If the elite DE is off the board, they go to the next person down their draft board, who knows if it is Rosen or not, but they did have a need at QB, unless you think Case Keenum is their answer
True, but who is to say that with Darnold available at #4, that the Browns wouldn't have traded down? I'm sure there would be offers......my point is there are too many variables in this equation to make a blanket assumption
If I am the Jets, I am doing whatever I can to get into the second round today. We need to get Darnold a WR (Sutton or J. Washington) or RB (Guice, Ronald Jones, Chubb)
I thought this thread was about the rest of the picks in the draft. There are enough threads pissing and moaning about Darnold already.
Who's pissing and moaning? Acknowledging the simple facts surrounding the pick is only pissing and moaning to those that only want to hear about roses and Unicorns.
This is about as accurate as your post in the other thread where you claimed Matt Ryan only turned the ball over 19 times his final year at BC.
WR is one position I don't think we need to address this early on. Enunwa, Anderson, Kearse and Pryor is a very very solid group. Would love to end up with one of the RBs mentioned though. How great would it be to pair Darnold and Jones together?
Would love Jones. And you are probably right about WR, I just know Pryor is gone after a year, who knows with Enunwa's neck, Anderson is one arrest away from a year suspension, and Kearse is good but not great. Just thinking about the future. Would love to pair him with an explosive number 1 guy.
There is no way you can know that. Harbaugh was a special team coach Flacco played pretty good. It's not gonna go away because this 4 QB's will always be linked, judged together and evaluated for the rest of the playing career and maybe a few years after. Just look at the 83 draft. If my boss was a putz I would still make my pick. I'm being paid to get the best talent not play politics or deal with a grown toddler. Kissing butt is not in my job description.
I agree with you about the turnovers but every player in the NFL has injuries and one hit away from being out for an extended time. Just look at Enunwa and how many time was Pennington injured for us.
