I would not have a problem with that.

I think it will depend on free agency.

If the Jets bring in Adalius Thomas, he'll provide depth at the position. He'll be able to rotate with Cactus, Pace, and hopefully Westerman. By signing an aging vet like Thomas, the Jets would be able to draft a developmental pass rusher to groom behind him.

I really want to see the Jets go after a safety, a power back, a slot receiver, a pass rusher, and depth on both lines.

The Jets may be able to find a lot of developmental talent in the UDFA pool after the draft...especially at a position like corner.

I'm not a fan of Cromartie.

It's an OK pick-up, I'm luke-warm. Not much risk involved...could be another Lito deal....one year renting a player.

Cromartie has a ton of baggage, let's hope Rex can get Cromartie to play to his potential. Rex's man to man coverage may suit AC.

Cromartie is on par with Rhodes in the tackling dept, both of them in the secondary would be scary. Rhodes is probably a goner now, since we have two shitty secondary players that avoid contact.

I still believe we are going to draft a CB in April, just not in Rd 1.

    Rd 1 Targets:

    WR.....Tate, Williams
RB...Mathews...(got get ahead of San Diego)
    OLB...Graham
    DE...Odrick (not my favorite player)
    OL...Iupati

C'mon man...Cromartie is far from shitty a player. He's a bit inconsistent, but the Chargers didn't play very much man-to-man. Cro was still a damn good cover corner for San Diego. They had a top tier secondary in 2009.

His off the field problems scare the shit out of me. I still don't see how a 25 year old guy can have seven kids?

I think our defense definitely got a lot better with this move. Cromartie has the ability to change games. With Revis on the other side, he's going to get a lot of interception chances.

I'm not saying he's a shitty player, I believe there are alot of red flags.

A fucking twitter moron, who can't keep his dick in his pants, whines and complains, tackles like a pussy....Rex has a few challenges.

Let's hope Rex 's system and attitude can make AC play like 2007.

Tanny didn't take too much of a risk, so we'll see if he works out.

IMO, Rhodes is now a goner......can't have both in the same secondary.

You know who I really like as a prospect? Georgia's Geno Atkins.

He probably fits best as 4-3 tackle, but he's just so damn athletic that I think he'd be a great fit at end in our scheme.

I think his Senior Bowl week plus a strong combine will vault him into the second round, so we more than likely won't have a shot at him. Wherever he ends up, I'm definitely going to keep a close eye on him.

I agree with you... my hopes right now are for Jared Odrick in green & white... or at this point I could be back on the Iupati bandwagon in rd 1...

I don't think we'll draft an OLB high if we have Pace, B. Thomas and A. Thomas on the field... plus Gholston is supposedly being given another chance. If we don't get Adalius Thomas I can see us going after an OLB though.

We could also go S in round 1 in case we trade Rhodes... I just hope it's not Mays... please let it not by Mays...

Agreed. "Damn good" may be a stretch though. He was alright last year. I am worried about the Lito'esque drop off, but Cro is younger and far more talented.

It's not hard. Sleep with a bunch of women without a rubber and see what happens.
This is what excites me the most.

I could still see us taking a corner in the first 2 rounds. I can absolutely see us trading down.

I wouldn't say corner is scratched off, you can never have enough good corners and we still need more help.

I'd be stunned if we picked a cornerback in the first 2 rounds. Maybe later for a depth guy. I could definitely see that. Ryan loves dressing a ton of DB's. But drafting a CB in the first 2 rounds would be overkill.

i would be upset with a pass rushing olb in the first round. pace already fits that bill. i would want 1st-DE, 2nd OL, then in the later rounds pick up a RB, WR and NT

I still think if theres a great CB like Ghee, Warren, Cox, or Cook in the second id pick him up and then adress Slot Wr and OL depth in the 5th, 6th, and 7th. But only if there isnt a RB like McCluster or WR like Shipley or a Great OL there to pick up. Which im not so sure of with the 29th pick.

Not enough picks to use any of them for depth at CB.

I believe in drafting the best player not drafting for need so if the best player left at 29 is a corner I take him.
